Hello! My name is Emily and I share decorating and organizing projects at Small Stuff Counts. I recently used two new-to-me Wagner tools that made my task of painting our living room fast and painless. Now my living room has fresh white walls, a welcome improvement over the old dark tan!
Move furniture away from the wall and cover the floor with a drop cloth. Then remove any artwork hanging on the wall and fill the nail holes.
Stir your paint and load it into the SMART Edge Roller using the fill tube.
Remove the fill tube and attach the roller brush attachment to your SMART Edge Roller. Pump the trigger a few times until paint starts flowing onto the roller. Roll paint along all of the edges of your walls including baseboards and the ceiling.
Apply firm, even pressure as you roll, making sure that the yellow paint shield is always between the SMART Edge Roller and the trim or ceiling that you don’t want to paint. Use a paintbrush to touch up any tight corners where your SMART Edge Roller couldn’t reach.
Use the fill tube to load paint into your SMART roller. Pump the trigger a few times until the paint starts flowing onto the roller.
Paint the walls in long strokes, moving up and down in a “W” pattern until you’ve covered the entire wall.
Use the SMART Roller and SMART Edge Roller to paint a second coat on your walls.
Unload any remaining paint out of your rollers and back into the paint can. Then clean your rollers with water according to the instructions. Allow your rollers to dry before reassembling and storing for your next project.
Here’s what our living room looks like after a fresh coat of paint! I’m really impressed with how speedy this project was (the SMART Roller and SMART Edge Roller saved me tons of time!).
