Spray Pattern Guide
Here are some ways to troubleshoot any issues with your spray pattern if they come up
SPRAY PATTERN | IMAGE | SOLUTIONS | |||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Clumpy Finish | Too little air and too much material. Turn up the air flow and turn down the material flow. | If adjusting the settings does not work, try adding Wagner Paint Easy to latex paint to condition it for a smoother spray pattern. | NOTE: The iSpray nozzle produces a roller-like finish. For a fine finish on small projects like furniture, use the Detail Finish nozzle. | ||
Runs & Sags | Too much air and too much material. Turn down the air flow and the material flow. | Spray gun is too close to the surface. Take a step back and hold it 6-8″ away. | Moving too slow. Move faster while remaining steady. | ||
Poor Coverage | Too little air and too little material. Turn up the air flow and turn up the material flow. | Spray gun is too far from the surface. Take a step closer and hold it 6-8″ away. | Moving too fast. Move slower while remaining steady. | If adjusting the settings does not work, try adding Wagner Paint Easy to latex paint to condition it. | |
Good Spray Pattern | Settings are adjusted properly, sprayer is 6-8″ away from the surface and is moving at a steady speed. |
