What materials can be sprayed with the Earlex 3700?

The Earlex 3700 can be used to spray oil or water-based materials such as: chalk paint, milk paint, latex paints, enamels, primers, clear sealer, polyurethane, stain, and varnish.  Anything with a flashpoint above 100 F.

What is the PSI of the sprayer?

The Earlex 3700 turbine operates at 2.7 psi. The Earlex 5700 turbine operates at 2.2 psi. The FLEXiO 570,575,590,595,2000,2500,3000, 3500, and the 3550 is 2.6PSI. The FLEXiO 690, 890, 4000, 4300, and 5000 is 3PSI.

How long is the electric cord?

The Earlex 3700 has a 12” power cord. The Earlex 5700 has a 6ft power cord.

Do you need a compressor for this sprayer?

No, this is a self-contained electric sprayer, so no compressor is required. Just plug it in and spray.

Do I need to mask anything?

Yes, anything in the vicinity that you don’t want paint on should be moved or covered. HVLP has less overspray, but there is still some.

Can you paint the walls with the Earlex 3700 or Earlex 5700?

Yes, the Earlex 3700 and the Earlex 5700 can be used to paint walls. However, they might take a while due to having to refill the cup so often.

Can you paint the ceiling with the Earlex 3700?

Yes, but due to the possibility of paint getting in the motor, the Earlex 3700 should not be tilted upwards at more than a 45 degree angle.

Can the Earlex sprayer be used with 220 Volt?

The Earlex 3700 and Earlex 5700 sprayer is equipped with a 15 Amp minimum circuit and is designed to be used with 120 Volt, 60HZ current.

Can I use this sprayer to spray a car?

Yes, you can use both thinned, water and oil-based automotive paints.  This sprayer will not give you a showroom-like finish.
