How to Setup Wagner Airless Paint Sprayers
Before beginning, consult the owner’s manual for complete instructions.
Step 1 – Assembly
A. Attach tool box covers, then the handle.
B. Next attach the slide suction and return tube onto the fitting, and securing both with the clamps.
C. Then thread the hose to the fluid outlet, and tighten with a wrench.
D. Spin the spray gun onto the host, and tighten with a wrench.
Step 2 – Prep Unit for Spraying
A. Depress SUREFLO Pusher Valve to free inlet ball.
B. Place suction tube into a 1 to 5 gallon paint container/bucket.
C. Turn Prime/Spray valve down to the “prime” position
D. Turn pressure control knob to 2
E. Allow pump to run until paint flows from the return tube
F. Turn pressure control knob to 0 (zero)
Step 3 – Priming the Spray Gun
A. Make sure the Tip Guard is removed
B. Point Spray Gun into a waste bucket
C. Turn pressure control knob to 2
D. Turn the Prime/Spray valve to spray
E. Continue to squeeze the trigger until paint flows freely through the gun
F. Release the trigger when paint is flowing freely, re-engage the sprayer safety, and power off the unit.
Step 4 – Attaching the Sprayer Tip
A. Thread the spray tip onto the sprayer gun
B. Make sure the spray tip is rotated forward
C. Power the unit on, and turn the pressure control knob to 5
Step 5 – Test Spray
A. Test spray on a large piece of cardboard, or the included spray poster before beginning your project.
