How to Paint & Stain Spray with the Wagner CP 130 Airless Sprayer

CAUTION: NEVER PUT HAND OR BODY IN SPRAY PATTERN

  • Unlock the trigger lock on the paint spray gun
  • Keep the spray gun a distance of about 10-12″ away from the surface
  • Use smooth, even passes
  • Spray in sections, and release trigger after each pass
  • Overlap each pass by 30% to 50%
  • For consistent coverage, keep the sprayer gun square to the surface
  • Rotate the guard for horizontal or vertical spraying
  • For horizontal spraying, the spray pattern should be vertical.
  • For vertical spraying, the spray pattern should be horizontal
  • Before beginning your project, always test spray using the included spray chart, or a large piece of cardboard

Pressure Relief Procedure

  • Rotate Prime/Spray Knob to Prime Position
  • Reverse the paint spray tip
  • Unlock spray gun, and pull trigger to relieve system
  • Lock gun after relieving pressure
