Upcycled Holiday Village
Find discarded villages at thrift stores or yard sales and paint them white to create a gorgeous, modern holiday village!
Overview
It takes a village to really enjoy the holiday season . . . but if you have tired of garish colors and desire simplicity, consider spraying your village a simple shade of gray. We used California Paints Play on Gray to recast this village in simple silhouette. Decorate with fresh greens and candles and fill the inside of each with fairly lights. Arrange on a tray to create a centerpiece for a dining or coffee table.

Prepare the Surface
Start by preparing your holiday village for painting. This might include cleaning and dusting off any debris that accumulated while in storage.
Paint with a Sprayer
Adjust the settings on your sprayer to suit the material you're spraying and start spraying! A sprayer is great for getting inside all the nooks and crannies. This would take forever with a brush!
