How does this model compare to the Flexio 4000? i tried the 4000 to use with Valspar bonding primer but it was so thick that it just spit everywhere instead of giving me a nice smooth coating i was hoping for. will this model work better?

Asked by: Dantheman
As far as performance, the 4000 and 5000 are identical. Maybe this isn't the right tool for your project? Will this system spray furniture stains, dealers and polyurethane?

Asked by: Rp58
Yes the Studio Pro will apply water based and oil based paints, stains and finishes. For a fine finish use the Detail Finish front end nozzle, spray from 6" away and if the gun is spitting, cut down on paint flow. For more application tips call us at 1-800-328-8251.

Is the detail finish nozzle, model # 0529013, the same as the control finish nozzle that comes with the Studio Pro HVLP Stationary Sprayer, model # 0529050?

Asked by: Cybarra
The Detail Finish nozzle will provide slightly finer atomization than the Control Finish nozzle. The Detail would be better for trim and cabinet finishing/painting.

My wife and I are refinishing our deck. We are using the iSpray nozzle to prime and we are having a lot of issues. The sprayer did well for a while but once we had to add more paint it started to sputter and overspray. We cleaned it multiple times, no luck

Asked by: Brett Dietz
We're sorry to hear about the trouble. Usually there is some blockage in an air passage that pressurizes the cup and pushes paint into the gun head for spraying. Without full pressure inside the cup, the sprayer can spit, sputter and just not spray with a full, controllable pattern. Check the clear tube outside the gun, the blue (thumbtack) check valve in that tube and the 1/16" hole on the side of the paint suction tube. If you don't find an issue there give us a call at technical support, 800-328-8251.
