Before

After

Clean shutters
Clean your shutters with either a pressure washer or a hose.

Prep sprayer
Prep your paint and pour it into the paint sprayer cup.

Assemble sprayer
Put your paint sprayer together, making sure the suction tube is pointing in the right direction.

Adjust sprayer settings
Set your paint sprayer settings based on the paint material you’re using. You can always adjust as needed throughout your project.
Adjust your air cap based on which direction you’ll be painting.

Spray
Move with your paint sprayer to avoid getting too much paint in one area. The paint sprayer should be about 6-8 inches from each shutter as you paint.

Clean nozzle
Use a damp paper towel to wipe the front of the nozzle every once in a while to get rid of any dried bits of paint.

Finish shutters and clean sprayer
Do two full coats of paint on the sides, top, bottom and front of each shutter.
Clean your paint sprayer.
