Refresh Porch Furniture with Paint
Over the summer I noticed that my porch furniture was really starting to look shabby. Even though my porch is a bit small, it’s one of my favorite spots to decorate for the holidays. I decided to freshen up the furniture with paint just in time for seasonal decorating. This is what the furniture looked like before. While I do sometimes like a weathered look, this just looked bad.

Gather supplies & paint
For a project like this painting it by hand would be challenging so I opted for my Wagner FLEXiO 5000 paint sprayer on this instead. I set up shop in my yard, turning the furniture on its side to get the underneath areas first.

Spray underside first
I used some dark gray stain that I had left over from another project. You can see how the sprayer really gets into all those hard to reach areas.
Once I had the underneath area finished, I started on the top half.

A paint sprayer makes quick work of changing colors
When I had the furniture done, this is what it looked like. I wasn’t sure I really liked the color that I had chosen on this.

Spraying furniture with new color
I moved it back out to the porch to decide and I knew right away it wasn’t staying this color, lol. Fortunately, because using a paint sprayer makes this so quick and easy it didn’t take me much more time to just give it another coat. Only the second time around I used black.
Much better! It looks like a brand new set of furniture out here. Just in time for fall decorating!
