How to Makeover Your Fence
Tackle your exterior fence renovation the easy way by using the Wagner Control Pro 130.
Overview
Many of you know, we have been focusing on exterior renovations. One of the last outdoor projects on our list has been to stain and seal our backyard fence. With the beginning of school quickly approaching, we knew we needed to go ahead and power wash our fence to prepare.
The previous owner had installed the backyard fence years before, but it didn't appear that it had ever been stained/sealed. The wood was dry and dull. With the size of the project, we knew we could finish it faster with the Wagner Control Pro 130 airless paint sprayer.

Choose the perfect color
For our fence makeover, we decided to go with BEHR premium Semi-Transparent Waterproofing Exterior Wood Stain and Sealer in Cordovan Brown.. We have used this stain/sealer on our pergola, mini-barn and even our girl's swing set. It's waterproof, mildew resistant and resists UV damage for a long-lasting, freshly stained look. I love the rich dark color and how well it complements our Bedford stone home.

Took only 30 minutes
Initially, we thought our fence makeover would take us at least a half day - we were wrong! This project only ended up taking us 30 minutes thanks to Wagner! We were so excited to partner with them to try out their new Control Pro 130 paint sprayer !

Assemble sprayer and begin to spray
In no time, my husband had it assembled and we started our makeover project. Not only was it FAST and EFFICIENT - it was also easy to use!
Wagner's website explains it best and we found this to be true. "It is gravity fed for fast, no mess priming and cleaning. The spray gun also features High Efficiency Airless technology that creates soft fan pattern edges so you can achieve a smooth, consistent finish without splatter or gaps."
As you can see the stain/sealer immediately brought back new life to our old fence! We worked vertically in one section at a time. The sprayer made it very easy to follow the direction of the wood with minimal overspray.
Note: The Control Pro 130 comes with a 515 spray tip that is great for latex paint. If you're applying stain, you'll need a 313 HEA spray tip for stains (sold separately) or 211 HEA spray tip for sealers (sold separately).

Steady application
We were so impressed with the steady application of the stain/sealer and the speed at which we could work thanks to this product!

Side-by-side comparison
Here is a good side-by-side comparison of the fence "after" (left) and "before" (right).

Great results
Clean up with the Control Pro 130 was also very easy.
We truly could not be happier with the results of our fence makeover. The BEST part was that it only took us 30 minutes!
