Evaluate the Space

Our back porch has a vaulted ceiling, and a load of rafters, making a paint brush and roller completely out of the question. I needed a paint sprayer that could take on the volume of outdoor space, and I needed a high efficiency one with a lot of reach and very little overspray.

Choose a Sprayer

The answer: The Control Pro 190 Cart sprayer. I don't even know where to start first, because this paint sprayer is so great! The first selling point is that there is no need to thin out the paint before spraying. There is no guessing game if you've mixed the paint too thinly, or if still too thick. This sprayer works straight from can to spraying, even with a primer / paint combination. And the best part? It is high efficiency!! Simply stick the wand in the paint, prime the machine, then start to paint. This absolutely is the best way to spray a porch.

Adjust the Spray Pattern

The spray is adjustable, from more of a narrow spray to a wider one, and the coverage is so even. When painting the walls, I found that moving the sprayer from left to right, and with spindles moving from top to bottom, works the best.

Move at a Steady Pace

Here is another one of my tips that I found when using this sprayer: I was in question how fast or how slowly the motion should be when I sprayed. The song by the Bee Gees, Stayin’ Alive, has a very consistent and steady beat throughout the song, it isn’t too fast or too slow, and if you follow that beat, that is how fast you should move the sprayer. This is a quick tip from me to you, and will help you achieve that professional look!
