Rated 1 out of 5 by from Quick to fail “Thermal Fuse” failed after 1st tank of water. Needed to cool unit for 6 hours before fuse reset. Second day failed (after cooling all night) failed 10 min after beginning to boil. Since thermocouple technology is OLD, I have to assume that this problem is designed by intent. And a little LED indicator to tell you if the fuse tripped or not would be soooooooo hard to make, since LED indicator light technology is so new and cutting edge. This problem has existed for over a year now? Customer Supports response? “It works for most people so we just left it as is.”

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works okay This unit works pretty good, although it does blow a lot more water than steam and that can get really messy. Wish there was an adjustment knob to control steam output

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worked well! I removed a border in my bathroom and it took about 45 minutes. The only thing I'd say is that it takes a lot longer than 15 minutes for the heat to get to a point where the steam plate is ready and steaming. Overall I'm very pleased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features. This product was used to steam composite flooring after our company’s rehab team got debris all on the floors. We installed the flooring at the property investor’s request. They were warned about the premature action. We had the steamer and never had a chance to use it. It save the job $500.00 on a cleaning service. Thanks Wagner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple Economical Reliable product Just finished removing wallpaper from a 3600 sq. ft. house . Every room covered from ceiling to floor with ugly wallpaper. The Wagner power steamer 715 performed with flying colours . Some rooms went pretty easy , some were very difficult. Thanks to my 715 with its long steam hose I could work on ladders and overcome the toughest tasks . A great , simple easy to use product for a great price . Now that my wallpaper nightmare is over the steamer has earned a well deserved rest . It has a lot of hours on it & I now I can depend on it again ; ( hopefully not too soon ) .

Rated 2 out of 5 by from The hose needs to be reconfigured I bought this two months ago to do a 70 sq ft room. Worked great the first use. Second time the steam started escaping at the hose hook up and we could not use. I called Wagner about buying a replacement hose and I was told that they did not have a replacement hose in stock and was given the item number to search for one on the internet to order. I have not been able to find a replacement hose so far. Very disappointed because it really did work well , poor design. Do not waste your $ on this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It's a bust We used it once. Next time out of the box (couple months later) nada. No steam. Won't heat up. Based on other reviews, this should have never gone to market and should be recalled. Shameful.

I just bought a house and after further inspection, the previous owner painted over the wallpaper. Can use this product to steam through paint and wallpaper for removal?

Asked by: Boydron
Steam does not penetrate paint very well, you should use a perforation tool to score the wallpaper, which allows the steam to get in behind the paint. Any big box store would have a perforation tool. For more help with wallpaper removal techniques, call us at 1-800-328-8251.

I just bought this and it took 40 minutes to heat up the first time. It’s been almost an hour since I refilled it and I’m frustrated. It was unplugged when I filled it. I stopped the unit when the steam stopped. The casing is hot but no steam. ???

Asked by: Laural
To cut down on heat up time, add hot water to the tank. Cold water stops the process and you start all over again with heat. With room temperature water it should take about 20-25 minutes to heat up, if it's taking longer, call us at 1-888-783-2612 for warranty service.

why Power steamer will not get hot enough to steam.

Asked by: Roger2
Try cleaning the heating element with a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water. Let it sit in the tank for 30 minutes then pour it out. If it's milky, those are hard water deposits that are stopping it from heating up. Rinse and repeat if it seems bad enough, then try heating water again.

I am considering using the steamer for another small project that requires very high temperature steam. Can you tell me what the temp of the steam coming out of the 715 is?

Asked by: Sami
The 715 steamer can reach temperatures of 212 degrees but coming out of the hose it may be a little less. If you would like to discuss this or have further questions feel free to call us at 1-800-328-8251.

Wondering if I could put a solution of vinegar and water in the tank to break up some of the glue as well?

Asked by: Cara
There is no reason for glue to be inside the tank. The vinegar/water mixture eliminates the hard water deposits left on the heating element. For more information call us at 800-328-8251.

Can vinegar be used instead of water in the 715 model?    Old wallpaper with a *paste* backing.......vinegar, in a spray bottle, works nicely and removes the wallpaper with the paste/glue.  However very slow.

Asked by: Gasp90
We suggest a 50/50 mix of water and vinegar. Good luck with your project.

The steamer only runs for about 40 minutes before stopping. It still has plenty of water but it stops boiling and steaming

Asked by: wallpapersucks
Make sure that the cord is plugged in to the steamer all the way and in to the wall outlet. If the tank does not get hot enough to make steam you may need to clean the element inside. There are instructions for cleaning the element in the owner's manual. Feel free to call us at 1-800-328-8251 for further assistance.

I lost my large steam plate for my 705.  Would the large steam plate for the 715 fit the 705 hose, and if so could I order one??  I own two of the 705 steamers and have a job coming up that I would like to be able to use both on.
