Rated 3 out of 5 by nicholasforbes from Power Painter Pro with EzTilt Gallon Backpack didn't work as expected The unit works well however I bought this to use specifically with the 1 gallon backpack oiling a fence with Flood CWF-UV. Unfortunately the unit couldn't draw the stain up closer than six inches from the bottom of the sprayer. That was disappointing as I've got a lot of fence to stain and now I need to fill the small attached container quite often to get through ten gallons of stain. Do I recommend the quality and to buy it yes, for small jobs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by OHTexan from Great sprayer for exterior projects I purchased this unit to paint the soffit and upper ends of my 24x40 barn. I sprayed VALSPAR paint/primer combination paint. I used cup as I was painting from a bucket lift and was concerned about spillage on the rental lift. I sprayed 2+ gallons in a matter of a few hours and am very pleased with the overage and performance of the unit. I had zero, no issues. I sprayed one end in an evening and then stored the unit (without cleaning) overnight and completed the job early the next morning... no clogs. The unit comes apart easily and cleaning is tedious but not difficult. Clearly the more thorough you clean the Atomizer, spray tip, suction tube, etc the less trouble you will have.... or buy replacement O-rings, piston and atomizer (not expensive) and just replace them... I cleaned them.. I will use it again in a few weeks to paint the porch ceiling of the barn (8x40' porch).. I will be able to assess if my cleaning job was successful at that point. I paid less than $100 for this unit new, online... a great deal and nice addition to my handyman tool assortment.

Rated 1 out of 5 by clhayes from Used it once then did not work. used it once a year ago and it worked fine. tried to use it today and could not get the paint to spray. followed all the instructions, oiled etc. was cleaned thoroughly last time and cleaned again before use this time. even tried the tube option but could not get paint to come up the tube -- yes, the paint was thinned and can at same level. tried for over two hours. nothing worked. really really annoying payed good money for this and don't have the time or money to replace.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Groveratz68 from Too Heavy Power unit way too heavy especially if you have a full cup of paint. Also you can't find extra atomizers anywhere except online. I'll buy something else next time. Why buy this if you can't get parts locally? Would not recommend to anybody!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Dan1 from Do not Buy I understand that any product can go bad.... I am not an expert but I do follow instructions as needed. Purchased this unit 2 years ago to spray my fence with redwood stain. It really worked well, cleaned it up and put it away. Today I started to paint the house. First area all masked off. Paint thinned and strained according to paint manufactures directions. Got a width area of abut 4 feet and the piston froze up. (yes it was oiled), Tried all the suggest in the Wagner Manual and then some. Unit went in the trash............ broke out the compressor with another sprayer to finish........what a disappointment, doubt if I will ever buy another simply because I cannot trust the sprayer to perform.

Rated 5 out of 5 by TeddyUpandDowntheStairs from Handy small sprayer I'm sure the hose is a pain and would clog so I never bother with it. The tilt feature is a must. I spray latex without a problem. When I clean the parts I am thorough and careful. I have discovered a great trick for frequent intermittent use of the same paint. You can store it full of paint for a week or more without emptying or cleaning. Just press a plastic baggie close onto the sprayer tip an hold as you give a short shot of paint, leave the baggie pressed on the tip to stay wet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by snapshot from you can roll wall in no time the roller feature is terrific. Pad for cutting in was okay but when I tried to clean it., the pad fell apart.but the pad is not a material feature to me anyways. But to roll a room it is very fast and efficient.

Rated 1 out of 5 by frc54 from Rather use a brush! When the product is new, it works great. BUT, over time it becomes more and more difficult to clean hoses and other attachments sufficiently to get the same mechanical results you have when it's new. And the thicker the paint, the worse of a product it is. Great idea, poor execution.

What is the difference in functionality of an airless v the flexio series?
Airless sprayers atomize coatings by forcing the product through a small tip opening at very high fluid pressure. Airless spray transfer efficiency is higher than conventional air spray and offers the ability to spray the widest variety of coatings. Working fluid pressures range from 1200-3600 PSI and they are typically gas, electric, and air operated. The primary application is production work and they are capable of covering large areas quickly. Flexio sprayers are HVLP sprayers. HVLP stands for High Volume Low Pressure. HVLP sprayers atomize coatings by a high volume of air and low air pressure. HVLP sprayers are used for finishing work and are classified as a finishing tool. The three major components of an HVLP unit are the gun, the air hose (on some), and the turbine/motor. A high volume of air is supplied from the turbine/motor, through the hose and is diverted into the container. The air pressure in the container causes the paint to flow from the suction tube up into the gun where a large amount of low pressure air intersects with the paint stream to form atomization. Which one to use depends on your projects. If you would like to discuss this or have further questions feel free to call us at 1-800-328-8251.

can be paint the NC (nitrocellulose) lacquer paint (lacquer thinner -based), and stain?
The Wagner Power Painter Pro with EZ Tilt will spray lacquer, sealers, and varnish as long as it is a water-based which will cleanup with water, or oil-based materials with a flash point 70 degrees or higher. This flashpoint generally applies to materials that are solvent based. If it is on the thinner side try using the Detail Front end that comes with the sprayer, turn the pressure down, and stand six to eight inches away from what you are spraying which will help reduce overspray. Try it on a spare piece of wood or cardboard first. If you have any questions please feel free to call us at 1-800-328-8251 and we will assist you.
