Rated 2 out of 5 by from Dissatified customer Starting out painting my basement walls this product worked great BUT shortly after starting the second container the gun stopped spraying had to disassemble and completely clean the unit. the piston was very hard to get out. When starting the second container the gun jammed again. I took it apart and the piston was jammed which I oiled each time. I did this about 5 times before I gave up and returned the Power Painter plus. Now considering buying the ? another Wagner with separate air unit maybe the Paint Ready Station.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No flow control and wasted paint Yes - I am an amateur but I am quite smart and a quick learner. I have several pieces of wicker furniture to paint and using a brush would obviously be very labor intensive and time consuming. The Power Painter Plus is good value and assembly and clean up was not difficult. Instruction booklet was clear and easy to understand. The machine did not clog or spatter, except at the end when paint was getting too low. It is impossible to see when the paint level is too low as you can hardly see the paint in the cup and so there is no way of knowing. I found that the overspray was vast. Also. a great deal of paint was used in order to get sufficient coverage. I had to go over pieces with a paint brush afterward to get rid of drips and excess areas of paint. There is no way of controlling paint flow. I can accept the loud noise that the machine makes but the overspray and lack of paint flow is a big problem. No, I would never recommend this product. Regret the purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from a keeper tool! I am a DIY from way back and one thing I have learned through the years is. The quality job always done with quality tools. So I had a restoration job on a small house and no time or help to get it done. painting became a problem to the rest of the project. when i found this sprayer I was taking a chance because it was inexpensive. I have had it three years and have used it on twenty or so projects. It is unbelievable the different applications this has been used for. The one thing they do not talk about enough is the ability to spray thick paint. latex is hard on sprayer. Most painters spend tons on this and have to water down paint to spray or put in stuff to soften the flow. in effect change the paint. A home owner is not going to get into that. They should not get into that! This thing has saved me literally hours of prep time, dry time and ,labour time. i actually enjoy playing with this. My daughter is famous for calling me to paint something off the clock for her. I think ill buy her husband one for Christmas!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a time saver This sprayer gives professional looking results with a minimum of practice. It is very important to do a test spray for coverage on a scrap of wood first. I painted a door in the fraction of the time it would have taken with a brush with no brush strokes. It gives a smooth even finish in less coats than the brush would have taken. The clean up wasn't bad, but follow the instruction book closely for the first time. Total clean up time for my first time using the sprayer was about 15 minutes. I'm sure it will be much quicker next time. This was well worth the cost on time and effort with the one door already done. I can't wait to use it on the next project.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst product ever! Purchased at Walmart after our other Wagner product died at 8:30 pm in the middle of a project. Have had nothing but issues from the beginning. Clumps, spraying uneven, piston seized up multiple times. Followed maintenance instructions still did the same. First sprayer worked perfectly and was so easy to clean...this one did not! $100 down the drain.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It was too good to be true. Everything worked fine for the first 10 minutes. And then it was all downhill from there. It kept getting jammed because my primer was too thick. It was behr primer. Nothing out of the ordinary. It is a paint sprayer after all. Anyway. I thinned it out. And it still keeps jamming. I'm so mad. Spend more time taking it apart to unjam it than I have spent painting. Bought this to save time from using a brush and I'm barely breaking even and it's wasting a lot of paint. I'm so mad.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from This sprayer does not perform as advertised. This product does not perform as advertised. I purchased one a few days ago at Lowe's, read all instructions, and then practiced using it. During a practice run with this sprayer I realized that it did not perform well. When I actually used it to stain our house it got worse. I tried every possible position, varied the distance to the material being sprayed, and made sure everything was tightly attached. Nothing worked. Application was uneven, with runny drips all over. I will have to reapply with a brush or roller to cover the mess the sprayer caused. Wish I could get my money back. I would never recommend this product to anyone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for staining fences I had to stain my mom's fence this past weekend so I purchased this sprayer from home depot. I stained the inside of her fence in the morning, then took apart the sprayer per the instructions immediately after I was done and really cleaned out the parts well. I took a break and resumed staining in the afternoon and it worked just fine. I think the key here is to make sure you clean out your sprayer immediately after use as to get all of the paint/stain out of the system so it doesn't get clogged up. After I got used to using a sprayer I was able to bang out the other side of the fence in half the time it took me to do the previous side.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from THIS PRODUCT IS TERRIBLE!!!!! I bought this product 3 days ago and with a high experience level, I painted one shed and part of one wall before it broke. Was working just fine, but then just wouldn't start up again. I spent HOURS trying to clean and re-clean it. The piston gets hot very quickly and dries out with paint in it. Good luck getting that unstuck. This product is a complete piece of garbage and waste of money. I should have read the reviews before I bought it. I would never recommend this product to anyone.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This is a good product and applies much stain to decking and easier than brushing I bought this to spray the spindles of a deck rather than having to stain each side, however I found the spray to be way to heavy and no real way to adjust the amount being sprayed out. So the stain began to run and I ended up brushing anyway. I was making sure the distance was 14 inches, but to cover each one I set it to vertical and tried short bursts but then ended up with incomplete coverage, I had previously used a model that had a controlled setting (about 20 years ago) which allowed the "output" to be adjusted. I needed a setting to turn back the amount being sprayed and the Power Painter/Sprayer Plus does not allow any adjustment. I was hoping there was another spray tip that would allow the amount spraying to be adjust back. I did not see instructions indicating it could be lessened either. I have to say I was disappointed as the previous one I used many years ago did a much better job with less waste.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great if I can get it to work the 3rd time. I bought this product a week ago. The first day was great and I stained almost my whole fence. I used it a second time a couple of days ago. I re-assembled all the parts. At first the unit made the noise like when it is working, but no stain came out. I took it apart again, cleaned all the parts and re-assembled it. This time it worked. Today I tried it for a third time, all the parts are clean as per the instructions manual, but when I re-assemble it, the unit makes the 'working' noise, but no stain comes out. I took it apart and cleaned all the parts 4 times, but no luck. I really like this product, if I CAN ONLY GET IT TO WORK...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from AN INSTRUMENT OF THE DELICATE TYOE Great design and if you maintain it well works fast and efficiently.. I'd like to see the quality of the material be improved. The same day I bought the unit, I was checking how to clean it after usage, and when I was twisting the top of the filter's housing one locking ear broke of, and now I painted 1500 sqft of siding 3 times, the other is is showing sign of ware. Also after 1300 sqft of staining the atomizer valve had to be replaced. The atomizer valve should be made of alloy for longer life. As long as it is well maintained, by cleaning it after 3 gallons of staining, it gives a reward of very fast and efficient staining results

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Paint tip Great spray gun i have used it a total of 3 times in 1 week each time for about 45minutes each time ......yesterday i used it for the fourth time and the paint tip is just spitting out the paint...water based paint.....so i do clean the tip of it real good and still does it any recommendations......i would really regret spending $100.00 on it........

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't make the same mistake I made. I purchased this product after reading the specs and assumed it would work under the wide variety of circumstances advertised. Don't drink the Kool Aid! This product spits ridiculous globs of paint when the one quart cup is about two-thirds empty. This causes an inordinate amount of time to be wasted brushing out the excess paint. I thought using a sprayer was supposed to be favored in lieu of a brush in order to save time. I found myself spraying AND brushing with this beast. The little EZ Tilt flexible suction tube does little to resolve this issue. What's more, there is no way to discern the fluid level in the one-quart cup without removing it. Cleaning up after using oil-based paint required over an hour to completely clean, disassemble and reassemble the unit. What a colossal waste of time. I regret that I wasted my money on the Wagner Power Painter Plus. I put the unit away after only two uses. I will gladly donate it to any poor soul who can't afford anything better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This painter earns its PLUS and EZ reputation. My Wagner Power Painter Plus with EZ Tilt fully lives up to its maker's marketing assertions. With little painting experience, I was determined to spray paint my perlite-covered ceiling. To get it right the first time, I disassembled and reassembled my PLUS as I read the 18 page instruction manual and Quick Tips insert (more than once). I read all the online product reviews; I surfed numerous websites, and I watched many how-to videos. And, before using the unit, I practiced, assembled everything I might need and I emptied and prepared the room to paint only the intended target. The only surprise was how breathing through a dust mask would cause my warm breath to fog my goggles. In other words, I prepared. During my first practice, I even called Wagner's tech support and got a fast and friendly clarification to my question on lubricating the piston. In short, if you follow the safety and technical instructions, make sure your paint is thoroughly stirred, and set the time aside to properly prepare, carefully perform, thoroughly clean-up and prepare and store your equipment for its next use, this product, within its technical parameters, will serve you well for many projects ahead. My wife was very pleased with the outcome!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Accessories are not available I purchased a eztilt power painter to paint a fence. However the paint container is much too small. When I checked into purchasing the backpack kit or the remote suction hose kit, neither are available at Lowe's or listed on your website.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic value I just finished painting the exterior siding of my 2,000 sq. ft. home. I have red cedar clapboard on the front and white cedar on the other 3 sides. I pumped 15+ gallons of Behr Marquee flat ext. paint through my sprayer. The sprayer worked Great! Make sure you don't let it run out as then it will spray globs. I used mine for hours at a time in very warm weather with very little issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keep it clean. First time I used a paint sprayer and it worked very well without any problem, just a detail that the container is small and refills are constant, a sign that everything is working properly, you have to use a damp cloth to keep clean the nozzle and not to let the container to empty. I Use 20 liters outdoors, indoors 12 liters, just a change of atomizer valve and constant nozzle cleaning, very impressed with the speed and the result, congratulations to the designers of this tool.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pleasantly surprised I have to admit my primary draw to this product was the idea of me painting my home (it is a smaller 1 1/2 story) for far cheaper than hiring someone (after some practice of course). I decided to try it out on my basement which needed a fresh up. Out of the box the quick start guide had me going pretty easily.. i did spill a little paint trying to get it into the cup the first time but the second time filling was no issue. The paint I was using was Ace hardwares store brand which seems to really do well for me.. I did not thin it at all. The only thing I can guarantee everyone who uses this will notice is that you fly through paint.. I sprayed an entire gallon in approx 30 minutes.. This include time spent refilling. It covered awesome... even the darkest shade brown that I could find when I originally painted the basement. I just couldnt believe how fast it was and regretted not having one sooner. The overspray was pretty high but I hung up plastic drop cloths on walls and items i didnt want covered. Cleanup took time but it was not hard... much easier than I expected and less frustrating then cleaning out rollers and brushes. Overall this is a great buy and would reccomend it to anyone. For once I can say I cant wait to paint again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Time saver/great for first time sprayers First timer read the pro and cons and went for it. Works awesome! Doing restoration of 1950's clam shell hurricane shutters, which take forever by hand. Used Behr's primer, sealer stainkiller semi-gloss latex and did in two quick coats. Shutters are aluminum, so I prepped and cleaned them well. A few tips: first I let the paint can heat up a bit in the sun "within reason, don't boil it of course" so the latex was nice and smooth, second I used a micron filter and filtered the paint into the guns cup to assure a nice "clean" paint. Lastly I first sprayed water out of the gun to get familiar with its range and what it could do, I then emptied out the extra water and added the filtered paint, I think the wet start helped, of course spray on cardboard for the first few blasts til the paint comes out nice and smooth. If your not tool "challenged" this is a great gun for those small-medium projects. Just take the time to follow the clean up instructions and your good to go.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Inadequate Documentation There was no manual. There was no quick-start guide. I had to hunt everything online. Even then the documentation was incomplete. I tried the painter anyway, was frustrated with the results, and now I'm taking it back to the store. Paint costs too much to waste on trial and error. A roller and brush wastes less paint and costs me less money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great $100 sprayer I have used this sprayer to stain my 400sqft deck about 100lnft of wood fence and a trellace in my backyard. I have also used the sprayer for putting a white coat on 300lnft of shoe molding. All and all I have no negative complaints about the product other than it takes a little know how to get the distance and speed right for bigger projects because the sprayer does over spray a bit. Having this product definately cuts a lot of the time out of a painting project and am very happy with my purchase. Clean up is easy with this product. A 2 gallon bucket with warm soapy water is all you need, just take the sprayer apart and put all the pieces in the water and brush with a toothbrush. For just few decent sized projects you will see the value in this product by time and frustration saved.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I really like this sprayer!! I am just a backyard do-it-yourselfer. I can't afford to hire someone to do painting for me, so I thought I would give this sprayer a try. The product is fairly straightforward. After a couple of "error" tries, I settled down to painting my backyard patio. I would have taken me about a day and a half to paint by brush, but this Wagner sprayer took the job in about 4 hours. I am very happy.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Quit working after second use-replacement parts do not match original design I ordered a replacement for the suction tube assembly that fits in the paint cup and it did not match the original screw-in type. That flexible tube is also quite a bit longer than the original one and I'm concerned that it will not work properly

Rated 4 out of 5 by from get the job done !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I bought this product to spray 10 interior doors. So easy to use. Saved me alot of time. (except cleaning it). Just dont let the gun totally run out of paint and give it a rest ever so often you are fine. So glad I used this product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Product So I bought the Power Painter Plus out of Lowes yesterday to complete a fence project I had been putting off for a while now because I dreaded it would take forever to complete, not to toot my own horn but I had a professional job finished within a couple of hours. Clean up was a breeze and for a person who has never used this type of product before, the job was easy. One thing that really threw me off was the Remote suction hose that apparently isn't fitted for this painter, and nowhere to be found not even on this website. I would like to get a reply as to why there isn't one for this product or if one is in the works. Because it would be a whole lot better if I had that for my next project.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Binds up I purchased this sprayer to do moderate indoor jobs around the house. My wife was a little intimidated to try using the sprayer before I was home from work, so she used a roller and brushes until I got home and was able to try it out. I managed to paint the ceiling of the room my wife started and the corners of the next room over before it began to bind up. I took it apart and rinsed the nozzle, the atomizer, the piston, etc. and each time it would bind and I'd rinse it, I'd get another few strokes with it before it would bind up again. I went through this back and forth game for about 30 minutes before I decided I was spending more time rinsing it to get it to work again than I would with just a quality roller and some elbow grease.
