I just bought this model sprayer and am having a hard time controlling the amount of over-spray. I'm beginning to think that I bought the wrong model. I'd like to speak to someone or get some help...I want this to work.
The PaintReady Station is a HVLP(High Volume Low Pressure) sprayers, which is designed to deliver minimal overspray compared to traditional airless units. There are a few factors that help mitigate/control the overspray. First, you want to make sure that you have the gun about 6-8 in from the project itself. Too far away will result in more overspray since it wont be able to reach the project, Too close can cause the material to run. Second, there are two setting that can be adjusted to alter the spray of the material: the power and material flow control. Thicker materials will require higher power to fully atomize the material but just because it is spraying at full power does not mean you want to stay at full power. Similarly, the material flow control will need to be set higher for the thicker material to flow correctly. But once again just because it works at the maximum setting doesn't mean you want to be set there. You want to find the happy medium, so adjusting these setting down until the unit starts to spit and then go back up to the previous setting where it did work. This will get the sprayer set to deliver maximum efficiency at minimal effort. If your concerns still persists you may also contact our technical support staff directly at 1(800)328-8251 and they can troubleshoot with you to see about getting your sprayer working well for you.

I'm using this for the first time with a latex for painting cabinets and doors. I'm getting a lot of splatter. I have it set to 2, lessoned the material volume knob and cleaned the nozzle. Better, but not good enough. Suggestions?
The PaintReady Station comes with the Ispray Front End that is designed to produce a roller like finish. If you are wanting a smooth finish you would want to purchase the Detail Finish Front End. The part number for this front end is 0529013 and it can be purchased via online or you can call our technical support team directly at 1(800)328-8251. You may also contact this team if you have any other questions or needs.

Are any of the Wagner backpack kits compatible with this unit?
There is no backpack available for the PaintREADY Station. Since it is an HVLP sprayer the cup is pressurized which pushes paint up the "suction" tube, it doesn't actually draw material up the tube. If you need to draw out of a larger container you may want to look at our Flexio 970 or 990 at this link, https://www.wagnerspraytech.com/products/paint-sprayers/flexio-series/. Please feel free to call us at 1-800-328-8251 if you have any further questions.

Would you recommend this for painting the exterior of a house?
We have many sprayers that would work well for the outside of a house. This would work well and very controllable, but would be slow. Something like our Flexio 970 would draw paint from the can and get the job done quicker! Call technical support at 800-328-8251 for more info.

Is there a price you can buy to have it pull directly from the bucket instead of having to fill it so much?
There isn't any accessory available that can allow the Flexio 690 to be fed directly from a 1 or 5 gallon pale. Please contact our technical support staff at 1(800)328-8251 if you have any other questions or needs.

The material continues to come out without the trigger being engaged... is there a problem with the unit
Tighten the retaining ring on the front of the sprayer. The threaded ring that holds the front end together is loose and allowing the nozzle to move away from the needle, resulting in a leak. For more details contact technical support at 800-328-8251.
