Flexio 890 Sprayer

$ 214.99
The FLEXiO® 890 stationary painting system puts the weight in the integrated storage case on the ground for extended spraying comfort. It can paint a wall 12 times faster than a brush or put a fine finish on furniture saving time and effort.

The FLEXiO 890 paint sprayer comes complete with two nozzles, one for big surface projects like walls and ceilings and the other for small projects and fine finishing on furniture, cabinets and trim. The turbine sits on the ground delivering air power through the hose to spray unthinned coatings with on-handle adjustments to maximize coverage and minimize overspray.

Cleaning is faster than a brush or roller with a few removable parts that rinse clean, and the turbine base holds the hose and nozzles for easy storage.

Covers an 8’x10’ surface in minutes:
-Stain: 1 minute
-Latex: 5 minutes

Flexio 890 Sprayer is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 27.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lifesaver!! I recently used the Flexio 890 to paint my 1950's interior walls and was blown away by how fast and effective this tool is. It is quiet and works with ease. It is easy to set up and cleanup. The Flexio 890 has been a lifesaver. I really do not like to paint, but with this by my side I feel like I don't have to spend a whole day doing something I do not enjoy. This is a must buy if you paint a lot! So worth it!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not for an indoor space painting a Quick review for Wagner 890 airless paint spray. Survived from suffocation today. I bought a Wagner airless paint sprayer to save time and energy for paining our new house. However, it turned out that a paint sprayer was not a good idea for painting an indoor space especially about 12X13 size rooms. 1. the room was filled with the paint dusts (I don't know how I call it but the sprayed paint particles) in couple minutes. And with just a 3M dust mask, I couldn't breath properly. So I stopped painting and bought a $60 3M mask to resume (And I realized it was another mistake and money wasting in couple minutes though). 2. In couple minutes later, the dusts covered my safety glass and blocked my sights so that I couldn't even tell how much paint I put on the wall. And the outcome turned out horrible. Luckily a SW paint shop was close by my house so that I could bought rollers and trays and fixed the issue before it all dried. However, I wouldn't recommend using paint sprayer for indoor space paining. I still don't understand how come the reviews on the Wagner site are all 5 stars.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Makes painting projects much easier Painting projects usually go to the bottom of my to-do list because they are tedious and time-consuming. The Flexio 890 made painting quick and even fun. The whole system is contained in a small, but sturdy case; making i teasy to tote to the project site and easy to store. The motor is relatively quiet compared to other sprayers. The sprayer is very light; my arm didn’t get tired holding it. Coverage was great. I used a paint & primer combination so it saved me a lot of time. There are adjustments to control the direction, width, and intensity of the paint. I was pleasantly surprised that clean-up was pretty easy. The spray head pops apart, and the material it’s made of allows the paint to wash off pretty easily. The bench rocker in my backyard went from junk to fab. My front door went from green to red in less than an hour. Can't wait to tackle the rest of the projects on my list.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very easy to use! I recently used the Flexio 890 to paint the entire interior of a rental property. It worked great! I had to paint all the ceilings, and while that still wasn't fun, this sprayer helped me get it all painted in less than a day. I also had to spray primer on all the walls, and then used the sprayer to paint the final color on too. I forgot to clean the sprayer the first time i used it and didn't get back to the house until 3 days later. I was worried that it may be ruined, but it was still very easy to clean. I couldn't be more pleased with this sprayer. Very user friendly and did a great job applying paint!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Spraying plants? I don't expect many to use the Wagner 890 as I do, but I thought it was worth mentioning: I'm in zone 6a, raise bananas spring through fall outside, hibernate them winters indoors. Last summer was the first I chose not to spray them every week or two outside, normally using the two tanks of water, a capful of fish emulsion each, rarely a capful of neem oil. Last summer was hot, humid, and while not a complete failure, growth rates were slowed considerably, and fewer pups appeared. Last summer is the last summer I don't spray them regularly with the 890. You can't drench them with consumer agricultural sprayers, the wands get gummed up and even if you could get the firehose effect it wouldn't be consistent with their horrible adjustment rings. Hose attachments are slightly worse. The 890 might be overkill, but at $0.79/lb I've so far saved myself well over ten dollars. Plus the yard smells like fish. I can't recommend this enough for extreme gardening.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the easiest tools I've ever used! I used the Flexio 890 sprayer to stain our dock. Using the detail finish nozzle gave it a nice, clean coat over wood with lots of cracks and spaces between boards. The finished project turned out very nice and took me less than an hour. Staining with a brush would have been 2-3 hours in the sun. Assembly was easy. The sprayer was lightweight with an easy grip. Refilling the canister was accomplished without spilling and clean-up was slick! Minimum waste of paint. I really like the integrated storage case, all parts neatly stored in a compact case. Can't wait for my next project!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very easy to use and saved my back! I used the Flexio 890 on a paint project in our bedroom. With a little practice using the different nozzles and pressure settings, I was spraying in no time. I liked being able to get into tight spaces in-between corners and door frames and especially liked covering large areas so quickly. Clean up was very easy and only took about 15 minutes. In the past I’ve used brushes and rollers, but with a bad back, I decided to try a sprayer. After tackling this small project with zero back pain, I plan on painting the other bedrooms, hallway and the bathroom. A fresh coat of paint makes all the difference in the world!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Can't handle thick oil-based enamel paint Experienced DIY'er, first time with a spray painting system. Bought this yesterday to save time painting some furniture and re-painting many doors using an oil-based semi-gloss enamel paint (Behr int/ext). Set it up, followed all directions and recommendations and it only throws chunks of paint onto the surface, making a gross orange-peel finish that needs to be hand-smoothed using a brush. Unless this problem can be solved, this product is worthless to me. After a very un-satisfying experience with the performance of the product, it took almost an hour to clear the gunk out of all the parts. What's to like?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So many great features and easy to use I love the fact that I have 2 different nozzles with this paint sprayer. I started out with a small project to get a feel for the sprayer and used the detail finish nozzle. It gave a nice, clean coat to the chair and there were a lot of little nooks and crannies. I also really love how I'm not wasting as much paint, and saving myself a ton of time. It's got an easy grip and I really like how there are a lot of safety features to keep paint from spilling. Nice detail of being able to put the handle of the sprayer on the handle of the case. I feel like I can tackle some bigger projects that I would otherwise have hired out to do. My biggest piece of advice is to make sure you do a thorough cleaning when you're done. It's about 15 minutes, but it will make the 2nd use a breeze since you already know what you're doing. Disclaimer: I was provided a sample for review purposes. All opinions are my own.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best home sprayer yet I have owned and operated many sprayers but this unit really lived up to my expectations. I used the small spray head to apply a Shellac finish inside 5 of my new cabinets and 10 drawers. It went very well. I then used the larger sprayer to apply a latex paint to the outside of the 5 cabinets, their 10 doors and 10 drawer fronts. Two coats were enough to compete the job. I would suggest that anyone thinking of spraying a latex paint to thin it with Flood's Floetrol. Thin the paint in increments so as not to over thin. I ended up with half the recommended amount and it worked great. It also made the cleanup easier. Make sure you read the manual first and disassemble and reassemble each sprayer before use to understand the parts and how they fit together. It will pay off when it comes to cleanup.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love everything When I bought the 890 my wife was like WHAT DID YOU BUY THAT FOR, after just one room SHE LOVES IT. Well we have 2 room done and 2 to go with the hall., and the rest of the house. She is even looks to do the 2 story foyer, which I think is a bit much, but that is how great this sprayer is that it gives you the confidance to do a painting job. She willo also tell her friends how easy it is to use and how fast a painting job is. WE LOVE IT.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Affordable Sprayer I purchased the 890 to paint an exterior porch, including ceiling, and some exterior walls. I have no experience with sprayers, so I was a pure rookie. I used it to spray walls and the tongue in groove ceiling of the porch (which saved a great deal of time as compared to the prime coat that was applied by roller). The 890 performed exactly as promised over the 2 day period, including stopping several times and changing out paint colors. I was a little concerned about clean up, but found it to be very easy. It is a robust unit and it comes apart easily and the parts are easy to clean. I wish I had gotten this unit earlier, because it would have saved me even more time. I highly recommend it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This product was very easy to use, and equally easy to clean. We received the product as a gift when we wanted to spray our basement ceiling. Aside from the paint spray which is always difficult to control, I found the product very easy to use, and I was very pleased with the results. Ceilings are harder to spray than walls but the sprayer did a nice job. We used a latex ceiling paint and the sprayer dispersed a nice even consistency. Clean up was very simple and I can't wait to use it again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing. Rarely as impressed with a new product as I am with the Flexieo 890 I have to say that I am hard to please and often disappointed when a product does not live up to its marketing / advertising promise. Well, the 890 does not disappoint. In fact, it exceeded my expectations. First use was a tough job spraying a 25 x12 deck with Olympic Maximum latex solid color deck stain. I started with the worst part, the spindles. I used the detail sprayer and was amazed at how well it handled the job! Sprayed over a gallon and not a single issue. The clean up was also very straight forward. Love it! Can't wait to finish the job!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple answer: I love it! For my last painting project I used a Flexio 590 to spray two big bookshelves. With all their odd corners and sharp angles, the plusses of a spray painter like the Flexio 590 were obvious, and I was not disappointed. For my most recent project, a bedroom wall, I used a Flexio 890. Since this was such a small, simple project, I wasn't sure how much of an advantage the Flexio 890 would be over the old fashioned way, rollers and brushes, but since I have several big outdoor painting projects coming up, I was anxious to find out. Simple answer: I loved it! The Flexio 890 is easy to use, quiet, and light weight, and it leaves a very appealing slightly marbled texture, a lot like a roller. And there wasn't a stray drop of paint anywhere! Now I can't wait for the weather to warm up so I can get to my outdoor projects!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great painting solution I was impressed by several things with the Flexio 890. First, it is very quiet when the unit is running, no more than a hum really. Not obnoxious like other sprayers I've used. This came in handy when I was painting late at night with the windows open. Also, the really lightweight paint gun allowed me to paint above my head for lengths of time without getting tired. It applies the paint smooth and evenly and you can also change the spray pattern with just a twist of the nozzle which just takes a second. Since the air hose quickly disconnects, I kept a different color paint in another spray gun and just swapped between the two. This way I didn't have to clean the gun to use it with another color which saved me a ton of time. I was able to paint a bedroom in 25 minutes after prepping. Clean up was easy with hot water...about 10 minutes to clean the gun, no tools required. Everything packs away in the base unit so it stores easily on a shelf with no loose hoses or wires. Great painting solution!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light Product, Heavy-Duty Results! I have used power painters in the past and what I really liked about this one is how light it is, and how well it covers the surfaces that I paint. The unit itself is very light which makes it perfect for when I have a project that lasts all day. The controls move very easily which made shifting between horizontal and vertical or wide and narrow a piece of cake. I also really like how quickly I could shift between colors by attaching another paint reservoir. In the past I had to hold the whole unit when up high on ladders but with the long hose connecting to the compressor, I can save my arm and shoulder from wearing out and getting tired. The other big thing for me that is much better now is how it handles thicker paint for outdoor jobs. The unit did not clog a single time which all by itself makes the product worth it! My neighbors will be asking to borrow the Flexio from me all the time for sure but that will be tough since I plan to use it very often. Thanks!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is Great! While using the the Wagner Spray Guns I really noticed how evenly the paint goes on any surface. It was so easy to use and made painting a great experience. The spray gun fits nice in your hand and is so easy to use. It gives you a great length hose so you can easily move around. It is a very small sounding machine much like a small hand held vacuum. It is such a small machine it hardly takes up any room in the closet. When I was painting with it I can paint any surface around the house. I have a fence that before I was using the Wagner Spray Gun I painted with a small brush and it took forever. But now I can spray the fence really fast and easy. It gives such a great coverage I was so impressed. It cuts the time in half it takes to paint now too. It is so easy to clean up, you just pick it up and wash off the small parts that need to be cleaned and it is easy storage. I really like that you can switch between gun handles to switch the paint around. That makes it so convenient to paint faster. The best thing about the Wagner Paint Spray Guns is the fact you can get into all the little corners and spaces you need to paint fast and easy. I really liked this product and would recommend it to any one.

What is the psi and spray nozzle size?

Asked by: Londoner
These are HVLP sprayers. The Flexio 5000 operates at 3 psi. and comes with two front ends. The iSpray front end nozzle is for your fence, deck and walls and is 2.5mm. The Detail Finish front end nozzle is for your trim, furniture and cabinets and is 1.8mm for a finer atomization and better looking finish. For more help call us at 1-800-328-8251.

Can this model be used for basement wall water sealing paint?

Asked by: Shark
The Flexio HVLP sprayers can use most regular household latex paints and paint/primers. If you are asking about a block sealer like DryLok, it will not spray material that thick. On the back of the can, if it says you can spray with a .015" tip, the 890 iSpray front end will work. If it requires anything larger, the Flexio will not spray it. can a waterbourne alkyd paint be used in this without thinning?

Yes you can. To paint your walls use the iSpray nozzle with unthinned paint. To paint your trim, use the Detail Finish nozzle and thin the paint 10% with water. For more tips call us at 1-800-328-8251.

I'm trying to decide between the Flexio 5000, 890, or 4300. What are differences? Which is best for small furniture projects spraying urethane? I also have lots of doors to spray.

Asked by: Steveg
The Flexio 5000 is the new 890. The only change is to the iSpray nozzle. It now has fewer parts and a slightly better spray pattern. The 4300 gives you the Gravity cup instead of the Detail pressure cup. They perform the same, they just have different physical setups.
