Flexio 570 Sprayer is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 64.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Sprayer My wife said, "Why haven't we bought a sprayer before?!?!" We have used this sprayer to paint cabinets, trim, and outdoor furniture. (I've not used it to paint walls just yet.) I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome of our projects. Easy to use. Easy to clean up. Great investment.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Maybe not the best tool to paint a ceiling. I bought the Flexio 570 last week to spray paint an unfinished basement ceiling. By unfinished I mean the rafters were exposed so a 400 square foot room actually had about 1,000 feet of surface to cover. I had to spray a primer coat and then the finish coat. This is not a job for the faint hearted. I had never used a spray painter before but I followed the directions and watched the informative videos. It worked good with the thinner primer but had some trouble with the heavier latex finish coat - I couldn't get away from some heavy droplets at the edges of the spray pattern. But the hard part was just holding the sprayer over my head for the 5 to 6 hour jobs. I think a sprayer with a motor on top of the paint container is not the best tool for large ceiling job. I'm not saying this sprayer is a bad unit, just saying that this type of sprayer is not the best for a large ceiling job.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk Flexio570, used total of three times. Every time had problems, now just spits paint out. Cleaned 100% inside and out every time.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk This is the worse sprayer I have ever owned. it is a complete mess, the paint sprays all over. When you are done, you need to remove and sand the whole project.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst paint sprayer ever I bought this and sprayed my French doors , then I had to sand them and repaint them again. There was so much orange peel, it looked horrible. this caused me lots of extra work .

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Worked well... until it didn't Purchased the unit about 10 months ago to paint a table. Worked great. Spray was a little uneven but did the job. Took it out to paint a small waist high fence last weekend. Worked well for about 2 sections and then the motor died. Called in and they said if it is dead for more than an hour its probably dead. My fault for not keeping the receipt for warranty. Again does the job, easy to clean, but I found it unreliable for long term use. I really only used it twice so would have hoped for a better lifespan out of the unit.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from nice sprayer, but bought one of these last summer. Spays nice, but is heavier than old sprayers, ackward balance and if you remove paint supply before its empty the paint can spill down inside the sprayer and is almost impossible to clean. Sprayer is made so the average person can not take it apart easily.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quiet and powerful I bought this to paint a fence and two sheds. Worked great even with my old thick laytex paint. Didn't have to thin it out at all just strained out the chunks. Only problem I had was trying to figure out which way the red u shaped gasket should face. One page of directions aid to the rear ,other said to the tip side. From what I could find out I think it should face the tip. Mine was installed backwards right out of the box flipped it over and it worked great. Hopefully it lasts a long time.

is there a video on putting item together.. each time we assemble it has paint spraying everywhere

Asked by: dtomlin
Tighten the front retaining ring. The black, threaded ring on the front of the sprayer is slightly loose. When loose, it allows the nozzle to move away from the needle, breaking the seal and paint streams out under pressure. Tighten it that extra bit and the stream is sealed off. Can the Flexio 570 be used for painting overhead, like a ceiling?

Asked by: dick8299
The Flexio 570/590 can be tilted back to 45 degrees to spray your ceiling. If it's popcorn it may require spraying from two different angles. The 690 can be tilted back to 60 degrees, so it may be easier for ceiling painting jobs. For more help call us at 800-328-8251.

The Flexio 2000 is the newest version of the 570. Some modifications include a tighter spray pattern and less parts to clean. Either will do a great job on your fence, deck or walls!

I just bought a ex tilt power painter....have used yet. Looked at a flexio 570 in another store... Which is the better unit????.....also will ether one spray acrylic on a countertop???.....thx

Asked by: Abbey
The Power Painter is high pressure and has quite a bit of overspray. The Flexio 570 is HVLP (High Volume Low Pressure) and has much less overspray, but still some so use drop cloths and tape. Neither one is right for acrylic paint on a countertop. The 570 may work if you add the detail front end, Part #0592013, which will give you a fine finish. We have other sprayers that work well for woodworking and fine finishing projects. Give us a call at 800-328-8251.

What is the nozzle size on the Flexio 570? Most paint manufacturers specify a nozzle size that's best for their paint, eg .015 - .021"

Asked by: Fugitive
The tip sizes you referenced, .015 - .021, are airless tip sizes. The Flexio sprayers use HVLP, high volume low pressure, technology so the tips sizes are different. It utilizes about a 2.5mm nozzle. The Flexio 570 is designed to spray materials that clean up with mineral spirits(oil-based) or warm soapy water(water-based). The Ispray nozzle that comes with the sprayer will deliver a roller like finish which should work great spraying the outside of your garage. What psi does the Flexio 570 possess? I have a primer & oil based paint that requires a pressure of 2,000 - 2,600 and I cannot find what pressure the 570 has. If the 570 can't provide the pressure, what Wagner series will? Thanks

Asked by: Jimmy123
The 570 is an HVLP (High Volume Low Pressure) using air at about 4psi. Paint cans never reflect this kind of sprayer. The paint can is referring to an airless system that utilizes high pressure between 1800-3000 psi. With this type of sprayer you also lose 60% of everything you spray to overspray, with the HVLP you only lose about 10%. We have many sprayer that fit those specs, just give us a call at technical support 800-328-8251.

how quickly do you have to clean it out before it dries? I'm painting cabinets; several coats. Do i need to clean it between each coat? & - I just took off the nozzle cuz it was splattering all over. Paint gushed out of the top and all over! why?????

Asked by: queenJen
You should at least clean the sprayer at the end of each day. But if it's 6 hours between coats I suggest you clean it. If it's one hour or so, you can clean later. The paint gush is because the locking ring on the front of the gun is loose. The threaded ring can become loose accidently when changing the spray pattern. With it loose the nozzle can move away from the needle and break the seal, causing a leak. Tighten it up, by hand, and it should be okay. Give us a call with other questions at 800-328-8251.

looking for an airless spray painter that works best for common house paints, outside projects, as in painting a shed(12 x 20 as an example) or indoors for wallpainting

Asked by: sully
The Flexio 570 will work well for both your interior and exterior projects. The iSpray front end that comes with it will deliver a roller like finish. The only other thing I want to mention is that this isn't a airless sprayer. It is actually what we call a HVLP(high volume low pressure) sprayer, so the motor in back is actually blowing air to spray the material. Please call us at 1(800)328-8251 would like to discuss this further or if you have any other questions or needs.

Stippled finish?

The description says that this sprayer leaves a slightly stippled finish, like a roll on. I'm applying water based polyurethane to a horizontal surface, refinishing a tabletop and don't want stippled. Will the poly level out on its' own? Any suggestions on what might leave a more even finish I'm looking for?
Asked by: msteiny
Like you said, the iSpray front end that comes with the Flexio 570 will deliver a stipple, roller like finish. I would recommend either the Control Stainer 250 if you are only needing a sprayer for finer detail work. Or the Flexio 590 that comes with both the iSpray, for those larger projects not needing a smooth finish, and the Detail Finish front end, for smoother finishes on projects like cabinets, doors, furniture etc. If you would like to discuss these options in more detail or have any other questions or needs please call our technical support staff at 1(800)328-8251.

Can this sprayer spray primers easily or do they need to be thinned?

Will this sprayer work with oil based primers, specifically Killz, or will I have to thin the primer? Also, does it spray latex primer as well as latex paint or does all primer need to be thinned?
Asked by: Chase
The Flexio 570 will spray most water base and oil base primers, without thinning, through the iSpray front end. The Kilz primers dry very quickly so periodically wipe the nozzle tip with a damp cloth to remove any dried paint. If you would like further assistance please feel free to call us at 1-800-328-8251.

I'm sorry to hear about the problem with your Flexio 570. All of our sprayers come with a 1 year warranty, retailers usually offer an extended warranty also. It isn't always usage that wears on a tool, sometimes its lack of use. You are always welcome to call technical support to discuss your options.
