Flexio 4000 Sprayer

$ 199.99
The FLEXiO 4000 stationary paint sprayer is perfect for longer painting projects, with less weight in your hand, because the motor is housed in the base on the ground. It has variable speeds for cutting time and effort on painting projects and can paint a wall 11 times faster than a brush.

The 4000 comes with 2 different nozzles – one for painting multiple rooms, decks and sets of furniture. The other nozzle for fine finishing on cabinets and trim. The new nozzle design delivers an improved spray pattern and adjustable control with less mess and overspray.

It has the flexibility to spray indoors and outdoors with the power to spray unthinned paint and stains with full coverage. Cleaning is faster than a brush or roller with just a few removable parts that separate and rinse clean.

Covers an 8’x10’ surface in minutes:
-Stain: 1 minute
-Latex: 5 minutes

Rated 5 out of 5 by from YUP AND YUP New to the paint sprayer game and this unit is the absolute Ballz! very easy to use and clean. Clear coated a beamed ceiling in 30 min. Stop researching now and buy the sprayer. 5 stars, 2 thumbs up, hole in one, bingo!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very easy to use This made painting my wooden farm fences easy. The long hose was great as I could move along quickly. The only change I would suggest would be have an adaptor so you could pull paint out of a pail.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible This has been a piece of junk from the beginning. I could never get it to spray an even coat, always had at least a little sputter that created an uneven finish. Especially for how much it cost, it really should be much better!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor spray pattern Bought product at Lowes after doing a great deal of research. A customer at Lowes recommended the Flexio 4000. I used it to paint an interior room with Sherwin Williams flat paint and it took a very long time. The best spray pattern was no more than 3 to 4 inches. I could have rolled the walls alot faster. Easy to use and clean, but I could not get a larger pattern and had to refill the container quite often.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product. I purchased this particular unit because I was looking for a spray gum that wasn’t too heavy. While you have to contend with being hooked up to the turbine hose, they guns are very easy to hold and use. I built a small wheeled platform to store the turbine on and it’s very easy to move around a room. While I have only used latex paint, both guns were very easy to clean with warm soapy water. The finished paint job came out very nice. Two coats of latex paint and a clear coat was easy to spray with just very fine sanding between coats. The finish was awesome. Good value for the money spent. Got mine at Lowes on sale.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surprised me I bought flexible 4000 with not a lot of high expectations. But when I opened it and sprayed a section of wall outside my house I was truly surprised at the ease of use and the coverage with such little amount paint. Also amazed at how easy to clean up. Glad I purchased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Real Time Saver I received my Wagner-Flexio 4000 as a gift from my wife. This is an awesome sprayer! It's fast, it sprays even, limited amount of spray over, it's easy to use, it's light weight, and clean up is a breeze. Can't say nothing bad about this sprayer!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sprayer Works great, just wish you could buy a larger container to hold whatever you are spraying. I sprayed nearly 300 feet of shadow box fence with semi transparent stain.Maybe Wagner will read this and come up with the accessories for a larger container. The reason I bought this is mainly to do smaller jobs. But my wife wanted the fence redone first. Happy wife...Happy life

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good and bad: a mixed review Okay here is my review: (no videos, or pics) For painting speed and for coverage this thing is great. Its fast and it lays on a good coat of paint. It is also super easy to use, not as scary as I had anticipated. I didnt have to thin the paint (latex primer) and I had no trouble with the nozzle clogging. But (here comes the bad part) its messy. Super messy. Everything is covered in either overspray or dry paint dust. And that coverage? Takes hours to dry. I painted primer at 1115, and it's still wet 4 hours later. Unheard of. I paint all the time and primer is usually almost instantly dry. The cup of paint has to keep being refilled which slows down the process (might be worth getting the one that sucks the paint right from the gallon.) The set up and prep is very time consuming. The paper, the plastic, the taping, etc. Its extensive. Or your stuff will be covered in spray. Cleaning the machine parts is a pain unless you have a big slop sink or somewhere outside to do it. Which I dont... So mixed reviews here. I would actually return it, because i dont think i will ever use it indoors again. But i have some outdoor stuff to paint, and i am redoing my dining set, so i think i will keep it for outdoor painting exclusively. I imagine it will make quick work of the chair and table spindles and legs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Flexio 4000 I purchased a 10' X 12' storage building. I was instructed that I needed to paint it within 60 days of installation to be covered by the warranty. I purchased the Flexio 4000 from Lowe's to do the job. I was very satisfied with its performance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wagner means quality painting I recently bought a flexio 4000 sprayer, I had a few house projects I wanted to spray, NO BRUSH/ROLLER marks, I did my research, and everything I read said this was what I needed for ALL my spraying needs. The flexio 4000 did not disappoint! My hand built Mantle came out with exactly the finish I wanted FLAWLESS!! Trust me, when it says Wagner it’s quality spray equipment!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Doesn't get much better! Bought the 4000 a few weeks ago and painted my utility building today. A job that would have taken me at least 6 hours took about an hour. I used a very thick latex paint and the unit had no problems. I cleaned everything outside using water buckets and it took me about a half hour. Painting is no longer something to dread!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Flexio 4000 I bought this sprayer specifically to apply an oil based perservative to 200 feet of redwood fencing in my back yard. I have an airless sprayer but wanted to avoid the clean up required when I use an oil based product. I also want a sprayer I can use to repaint the upstairs bedrooms. I was entirely pleased with the performance of the 4000 and the ease with which I was able to get it clean after the job was finiished. I am a dangerously skilled home owner and I must say this is one of those rare products that works just as the manufacture claims!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Uses alot of paint This is so much quieter than the old style however the paint doesn’t go as far with this one. I do like it but it’s more costly to spray with this one then it is with the older model

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very pleased. Bought this to repaint my kitchen cabinets. Used the detail finish nozzle, had to thin paint a little but it turned out fantastic. Low overspray made it great for touching up trim too. Clean up was a snap.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple and well thought out I was intimidatedat first to use a sprayer. This tool made my first attempt look like a professional finished my work. It’s simple to use. Simple to clean. Spray is consistent and accurate. Surprisingly small overspray. Would but this model again in a heartbeat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent spayer Never used a paint sprayer and was a bit leery about buying one especially since a lot of reviews are mixed. However I couldn't be happier with the Wagner Flexio 4000. It is easy to use and easy to clean and does a great job of laying down a smooth coat of paint. Very pleased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Sprayer for the Price I got the Flexio 4000 and love it! It's so handy to have around and the finish quality is amazing. So far I've only sprayed furniture and doors outside and the finish has been amazing. I've used lots of sprayers in the past and this one is for sure one I would recommend. I admit that for a beginner there probably is a bit of a learning curve with getting the product to apply just right but once you get the settings perfect you are unstoppable. I really can't imagine not using a sprayer for projects like furniture and many other things and this one didn't disappoint at all. I used both brand new paint and paint that had thickened a bit with age and anything I used worked beautifully. I love that it's small but has a lot of nice features that you find in the larger and more expensive units. You will not be sorry that you purchased and say goodbye to long and tedious painting projects.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great painting tool I tried out the Flexio 4000 and used both sprayers with some latex primer I had in my garage. The unit performed great. I thinned the primer a little for the detail sprayer and it too work great. It has great coverage, even flow of paint, very little overspray, and it is not excessively noisy. All in all a great bargain

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent sprayer with easy clean up Loved this product. I tried both the iSpray and the detail nozzle using chalk paint on a dresser. The coverage was amazing and it greatly reduced the amount of paint required. I didn't have any nozzle clogging issues and clean up was a breeze

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Flexio 4000 You will not be disappointed in this little paint sprayer. Easy to setup, Easy to use, Easy clean up. I was under a time crunch to get half of a 2600sqft house painted, 7 hours later, very impressed. Suggestion when using a paint sprayer have someone come behind you with a roller to even out the area painted.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Flexio 4000 - You Need this Tool - It's so Fast! I love my Flexio 4000. No more determining how thick a roller nap to buy, what size brush to use, how long it will take to paint and cleanup - using the Flexio 4000 is quick & easy. I have to admit I was a beginner with paint sprayers - this is the unit to choose. Along with a large project iSpray Nozzle (1.5 qt) there is a Detail Finish Nozzle (great for detail projects - leaves a smooth finish). I couldn't believe how fast my projects were done - when they say a 5 minute 6x8' wall - they mean it! A practice spray poster came with the unit. I was a little skeptical, but the poster really helped me learn about the 4000's capabilities. Learning to adjust the turbine's X-Boost power, spray width lever, and air cap horizontal & vertical patterns became easy. I found the Material Flow Control to be really useful - I started out with a minimum flow on the nozzle and adjusted up to the material I was using, my painting speed and the project surface. I started the turbine pressure on a lower setting and increased it to medium on my latex paint project to really get good coverage. I especially like the Detail Finish Nozzle - you'll be amazed at the control you have and the quick coverage you can achieve. You need this tool! You all have old brushes you think you might use one more time and that dinged up roller pan. My Flexio 4000 is my painting tool. I found there is minimal masking needed due to the great control of the nozzles. Another benefit is the savings you'll have in paint and other materials - no more dried waste in the roller pan or on the roller and brushes. Cleanup was really 5 minutes - You'll enjoy your painting projects again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Efficient Spraying We recently used our Flexio 4000 to repaint our kitchen chairs. I wanted to start small because this was my first time using a paint sprayer. I decided to use latex Valspar Aspire Paint and Primer. I was a little apprehensive, as it would be the first time I sprayed latex and the chairs had lots of nooks and crannies. I prepped the chairs and prepared to use our new sprayer. I opened the box and laid out all of the components and read the easy to follow directions, they were very informative and made the assembly quick and easy. I started the spray process with very light coats and the sprayer made the job of applying 3 or 4 light coats very quick and easy. The chairs turned out awesome. My husband and I were amazed that we didn't have one single drip. The only thing that we found misleading from the instructions was the 5 minute cleanup, the actual cleanup time as considerably longer. All and all I feel the Flexio 4000 is a great product. As soon as the weather decides to cooperate we are going to use it to stain our deck.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent Unit, with just a few suggestions! The Flexio 4000 is well thought out and delivers light weight spraying performance on any properly masked project! I have used it to repaint the doors in my home without runs or brush marks, and to paint our guestroom in 30min! To offer further insight I will list some pros and cons I have noticed during my use of the 4000: Pros: -Light weight (having the air compressor unit on the floor allows for most of the weight to not be in your hand like some other sprayers) -Easy instructions and ease of use (there are only a few necessary controls and they are clearly marked -Sprays with excellent coverage once you dial in the flow rate and technique (as clearly outlined in the manual) Cons: -Spraying heads are made of plastic instead of metal (during cleaning I noticed it was fairly easy to gouge or nick the plastic sprayer head hole if not careful) -Power cord is non-detachable and sticks stiffly straight out of the back of the unit (not a big deal buts makes storage somewhat annoying) -Supplied bag is listed as an Accessory bag on the box, but would have been nice if it was just a little bigger and the entire unit and accessories would have fit for nice storage and portability Overall, this is an excellent sprayer especially for the price! Some similar price point sprayers are entirely hand held, and I have found in the past that drying to paint a wall or ceiling while holding all of that weight outstretch does not make for an easy job. This unit solves that problem, and makes for some really nice finishing on any furniture that needs a new polyurethane coat!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powerful painting ability in small package! Pros: Easy to assemble and breakdown for cleaning. Easy to adjust paint and pressure. Same bottle and handle setup for my Flexio 890 so I can maximize painting capabilities. Cons: Trigger is small so you will have some hand fatigue. Some clogging in warm weather, however easy to resolve.

What sprayer is newer of the Flexio 4000 vs. the Flexio 890?

Asked by: KevinH
The old Flexio models were the 570, 590, 690, 890...they are now the 2000, 3000, 4000, 5000. The only change was to the iSpray front end nozzle which now has fewer parts and a slightly better spray pattern. For more help choosing the right tool for your project call us first at 1-800-328-8251.

Other than the length of the hose and cost, what is the difference between the Flexo 4000 and the 5000?

Asked by: Wendell
The only other difference is the storage. The 4000 has a small bag for holding the gun and small parts, the 5000 has a hard case that holds everything. Good luck with your projects.

Can I use this to spray Epoxy acrylic paint to refurbish bathtubs, aloha

Asked by: Chico
We do not recommend this sprayer for epoxies or for refinishing bathtubs, it will not hold up. You can use the Titan Tool CapSpray 95, it will do the job perfectly. You can find information on it at this link, https://www.titantool.com/capspray-95.html. Feel free to call us at 1-800-526-5362 with any questions you may have.

Can I use the FLEXiO 4000 to spray lacquer?

Asked by: Teacher Phil
All of our Wagner sprayers will spray water base lacquer only, not solvent base lacquer so you will need to check which one you are using first. If you want to us a solvent base lacquer you may want to look at one of our Earlex sprayers at http://www.earlex.com/. Feel free to call us at 1-800-328-8251 if you would like further assistance.

Can this sprayer handle big jobs like the exterior of a stucco 3500 square foot home? I read that someone did a 7x28 wall and theotor burned out.

Asked by: ljshort
While the Flexio 4000 is a great sprayer that is a pretty big job. I would look at one of our HEA sprayers at this link, https://www.wagnerspraytech.com/products/paint-sprayers/high-efficiency-airless-series/. Depending on what type of paint you are spraying depends on which one you should purchase, don't just purchase the cheapest one as that may not be the proper sprayer. It must match your paint so once you have picked out the paint call us at 1-800-328-8251 with the paint so we can get the specifications off of the paint and we will help you choose the right sprayer.

Can a Flexio pull paint from a bucket of paint? I read "somewhere" that this can be done but according to what I've been reading in the comments you have to fill a cup and hold the weight of both paint and sprayer up in the air.

Asked by: LJshort
The Flexio 970 and Flexio 990 can pull paint directly from a gallon or five gallon container. The rest of the Flexio series cannot. Their turbine push air into the container pressurizing the cup and forcing paint up the tube and out the front of the gun. If you have any further questions feel free to call us at 1-800-328-8251 and we will assist you.
