Flexio 4000 Sprayer

$ 199.99
The FLEXiO 4000 stationary paint sprayer is perfect for longer painting projects, with less weight in your hand, because the motor is housed in the base on the ground. It has variable speeds for cutting time and effort on painting projects and can paint a wall 11 times faster than a brush.

The 4000 comes with 2 different nozzles – one for painting multiple rooms, decks and sets of furniture. The other nozzle for fine finishing on cabinets and trim. The new nozzle design delivers an improved spray pattern and adjustable control with less mess and overspray.

It has the flexibility to spray indoors and outdoors with the power to spray unthinned paint and stains with full coverage. Cleaning is faster than a brush or roller with just a few removable parts that separate and rinse clean.

Covers an 8’x10’ surface in minutes:
-Stain: 1 minute
-Latex: 5 minutes

Flexio 4000 is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 41.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from BLOWN AWAY I decided to paint and drylock my basement walls. After brushing on 2 walls of Drylock I figured there has to be a better way. Went out last night and purchased the 4000 after reading all reviews. I read the instructions carefully and went to work. OMG how simple this is. I had not one problem! Finished spraying the two walls in 30 minutes and clean up couldn't be any easier. If your having a problem, go back and read the instructions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New kitchen Finished making new cabinet doors for my kitchen and used the Wagner 4000 to spray the paint. Finish was better than that of some professional built cabinets that you find in home improvement stores. Just finished restoring my wife's mother old chair. Used finishing gun on this. Did ok, but wish that it had the same type of flow control as the other gun

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Motor Quit I bought this to paint two bathrooms that we had remodeled and an office in our house. I was surprised but ok with the amount of masking off that I had to do. I had to do the ceiling in the office along with the walls. Had issues with clogging but I think that was more operator error than anything. Afterwards, I cleaned the unit and nozzle per the instructions. The next day I set up to do the walls. Once I got the adjustments right, it worked great and I was pleased with the results for the first two and half walls. Then the trouble started: Mid-way through the third wall, the motor started making a funny noise and losing power. I shut it off and thought maybe I would let it cool. After about an hour, I tried again and the motor continued to make a bad noise and lost power and started to smell. I am going to take it back to the place of purchase for my money back.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing Sprayed 4 interior doors on two occasions. Started this week painting my exterior, made it 1/3rd of the way down a 28x7 wall and the turbine burnt out. I keep my tools clean, both filters were clean and I'm spraying latex which the Flexio 4000 is set up for. My sprayer is just outside of the 12 month warranty. Guess I'll head to the man store Harbor Tool Freight....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Plenty of power I applied an Al’s bed liner using the Wagner 4000. The material is a thick-pudding type of substance. But It shoots the product out really well and Much faster than I expected. Controls over spray nicely too. I feel this gun is more practical to use than the hoper style pneumatic gun the product came with. The key to clean up is to wait till the next day once it’s fully dried. Then disassemble the gun and peel the dried product right off of the components.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tool Facing the task of painting twelve doors (four are louvered bifold) and many shelves I decided to purchase this tool. My initial use was with primer. Second was with latex enamel. In each case the paint went on good with no thinning required. I did have to make flow adjustments,as expected. Cleanup was quick and easy. I painted two bi-fold doors and six medium shelves, with cleanup, took less time than painting one of the doors by brush. In fact less time than cleaning a paint brush and roller. Yes over spray does appear to waste paint. But the cost of the paint loss compared to the time saved is acceptable.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Unit brought me pain whilst ceiling painting Second use on ceilings to n my house. First room was last week and the Flexio 4000 performed well. After about 2 gallons of spraying yesterday it was spit clog and poor spray pattern. Cleaned nozzle and air passages and then noticed the unit was spewing paint with the trigger released... Sometimes this was a lot of volume. Stopped work and went thru the cleaning procedure.. Dunked the valve head on warm soapy water, cleaned with brush... Reassembled and ran for a time before spewing again... And poor pattern onto ceiling. Arrgh! Today after an all night soak with the trigger held open to get cleaning water in there, I reassembled the unit to repaint over the 35 by 25 foot area of bad application and did a water test into the shower... Wuff! Spewed water when no finger on the trigger! So I repainted a 50 by 25 foot ceiling with my Wagner smart sidekick power roller in have the time it took this futzy sprayer to do a lousy job. I conferred with another Flexio owner and he reports the same spew issue with his unit... Seems the material release valve opened by the trigger does not seal once the unit has a few gallons through it. Since Tec Support was closed by the time I could call them, I decided to post this review. I need to know from Wagner of the material flow valve can be cleaned.. Do I need to disassemble the trigger and pull out the back end of the head unit to fix this thing? I suspect Wagner doesn't do field testing of these Chinese made Flexio units... Otherwise they would have encountered what looks to be a design flaw!

FLEXiO 5000 vs 4000. Is there any difference in the power/performance or is the only difference the storage

Asked by: John M
All of the Flexio models perform very much the same, the difference between all of them is physical setup. The 4000 has a 15' air hose and little storage bag for the small parts, the 5000 has an 11' air hose and hard case storage for everything. Good luck with your projects.

Would this sprayer be good for oil base ennamel?

Asked by: swede
Yes, oil based enamel implies a nicer looking finish on a wood or metal project. For that, use the Detail Finish front end nozzle, thin the paint 5-10% with mineral spirits (paint thinner). Spray from 6" away and if the gun spits paint, power up and paint flow down for better atomization. For more tips call us at 1-800-328-8251.

Looking to use this in cabinets with Benjamin Moore Advanced paint, any recommendations?

Asked by: Haskins19
Use the Detail finish front end for a fine finish and thin the paint about 5-10% with water. You can also 1 ounce of Floetrol to help it level easier. Adjust the sprayer for no spitting, spray from 6" away applying a wet coat with each pass. Lay the project down and spray down on it for the easiest, best finish possible. I am painting my kitchen cabinets using Sherwin Williams ProClassic Interior Waterbased Acrylic-Alkyd. Will this sprayer handle this paint and can I use the detail sprayer to get smooth finish

Asked by: Scott1180
The Flexio 4000 will handle this paint. The Flexio 4000 comes with the Detail finish nozzle, the Detail finish nozzle is best used on your fine finish projects such as spraying cabinets, furniture, doors, trim etc. It will provide a smoother, finer finish than the iSpray Nozzle. Depending on your material, the Detail Finish Nozzle may require some thinning of your material in order to spray properly.

I've used your Flexio 4000 on multiple projects, no problems. Was spraying the walls in my garage and realized paint was coming out the tip even though I wasn't pressing on the trigger. I cleaned the gun, no difference. Any suggestions.

Asked by: Biker Bill
Try to tighten the retaining ring on the front. It's loose and allowed the nozzle to move away from the needle and when under pressure, it pushes paint out in a stream. For more help call us at 800-328-8251.

The only difference is that the 3000 is handheld and the 4000 has a separate turbine base from the spray gun. Both work equally well. To discuss further give us a call at 800-328-8251.

We do not suggest using HVLP with elastomeric type paints. It's much too fibrous and thick and thinning it ruins the reason you paid extra for it.

Why can't latex paints be used in the detail sprayer of the 4000? Nothing tells you this until you get into the instructions (after you've bought the sprayer).

Asked by: Mike71k
The Detail Finish nozzle is designed to get a smooth pattern when spraying thinner finish materials. It doesn't automatically mean you cannot spray latex paint through it. Just expect to thin it out quite a bit to get an even pattern. Latex paint is generally associated with getting good coverage and a protective coating as opposed to a fine finish. Go ahead and give it a shot with the Detail nozzle though, if it's thin enough you may get a nice smooth finish. You can also call us at 800-328-8251 for any further questions. What is the difference between 4000 and 5000 How much noise do they make is it less than the models with the pump in the handle I can’t stand the noise on most all in one hand held models

Asked by: Alton
The 4000/5000 are very similar units. The 5000 has an air on/off switch at the gun and comes with a hard plastic storage case. The 4000 has a 3 foot longer hose but then everything else is the same between the two models. They make the same amount of noise as the handheld models but since you can set the turbine 12 feet away it wont seem as loud as the handheld models.
