I would like to use a special artist acrylic paint in this spray gun. Do I need to add water or something else to it in order for it to work with the spray gun?

Asked by: TSVEN
The Control Spray is designed to spray thin-bodied oil based materials like stain, sealers, and enamels. We have had customer use water-based material but has required a good amount of thinning to do so. If you are wanting to spray more water-based materials I recommend looking at our Flexio line of sprayers, they were designed with thicker materials in mind. Please contact our technical support staff at 1(800)328-8251 if you would like to discuss these options or have any other questions or needs.

Can I use Control Sprayer to apply some re-paint on my 1000 gallon LP tank and on a 500 gallon diesel fuel tank ?

Asked by: larry ze
The Control Sprayer is designed with thin bodied material in mind. Finishing products like stain, polyurethane, etc Latex paint would need to be thinned quite a bit to spray well, about 20% or more. Our Flexio line of HVLP have stronger motors that can spray the thicker material like latex paint. For an in depth discussion contact us at 800-328-8251.

Just bought this sprayer last week to stain the deck.I had a big problem with leaking of contents every time I loosened the lid to refill it. I tried unplugging and squeezing trigger to reduce pressure but nothing seemed to help.

Asked by: Joytown
To reduce pressure in the cup after spraying, just loosen the cup slightly. You will hear/feel a rush of air, then you can safely remove the cup without spillage. If the problem continues contact us at technical support at 800-328-8251.
