Rated 4 out of 5 by from Piston problems I have problems with my gun, the paint is dripping from the trigger, I think the problem is the nozzle piston. I would like to know how I can buy the piston.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy To Use and Achieve Great Results The Control Spray Finishing Sprayer is intended to be used outdoors with polyurethane or other light weight finishes. I needed to spray a recently built mobile work cart, and I wanted to use paint - not a recommended use. The weather has been too rainy to paint outside, so I worked in my garage with the doors open and ample drop cloths. After diluting the latex paint with 10% water, I was able to achieve very professional results. The only issue I had was the spray stopped without warning - until I realized the suction tube had become dislodged. After reattaching it, the Control Spray performed like a champ. Being able to spray a wide horizontal or vertical stripe is to be expected, but when the nozzle is set at an angle a much more precise pattern can be attained. This came in handy when I was spraying the legs of my cart. Over spray was a bit of an issue until I backed off the amount of material being sprayed by spinning the small dial on the trigger. (I should have practiced more with water.) Clean up was quite easy - though I suggest investing in an inexpensive spray gun cleaning kit (<$15) to get into the nooks and crannies of the sprayer so it's spotless for the next job. All in all, I found the Control Sprayer to be lightweight, flexible to maneuver and I really appreciate how it stands up and doesn't tip over when the cup is attached. I highly recommend the Control Spray. My mobile work cart looks amazing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great sprayer We needed a sprayer to do some finish work on our son's fence and deck. There is a bit of a learning curve, but reading the instructions always helps. We were able to finish up the fence and lattice work. The only drawback was the paint cup was a little small. Otherwise, we really like this sprayer!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything I was looking for I bought this sprayer to apply a clear water based poly on new kitchen cabinets. This worked great, did not require me to thin the material, was easy to control, and saved me a ton of time. Well worth it for what I needed. I will be testing with some oil based paints tonight(Not what I bought it for), if it pulls this off, I will really be impressed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product...easy to use! I had it out of the box and ready to use within 10 minutes. It’s very light weight, which was great because I needed to hold it in one hand while holding onto the ladder with the other. I was able to get the whole fence sprayed within about 45 minutes. You have to refill it pretty often, but it’s worth it to keep the weight of the device down. If I had to do this job with a paintbrush, it would have taken me half the day. My neighbor was so impressed with the quick work that he asked to borrow the sprayer for his side of the fence.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ability to control paint flow I received the control sprayer a few days ago and tested it out, I found that the ability to adjust paint flow made a very good difference. It's very hard sometimes to paint something and get a light coat of paint evenly put on. But using this sprayer I was able to do that. I feel that this sprayer is going to get a lot of use in my home.

I have a question about what the difference is, between the opti to the control I had planned to buy w550, I am already confused because they tried to sell an opti-Stain Sprayer for a control W100 pro

Asked by: Juan Callejas
The difference between the Control Spray 100 and the Opti-Stain is the front end. Both are designed for small projects, but the Control Spray 100 has an 800 ml with a Control Finish front end for a finer finish than the iSpray, and the Opti-Stain has a 600 ml Detail Finish front end for a finer finish than the Control Finish front end. Both are best used with light bodied materials, though some paints may work with dilution.

Just purchased the Wagner Control Spray Sprayer to paint a couple small bedrooms and for the life of me can’t get the thing to spray more than a light mist. What is going on?????

Asked by: Jon boy
The Control Spray Finishing sprayer is designed for light-bodied materials: stains, sealer, urethanes, varnishes, and finish-grade enamels. It will work great for your trim with thinned paint, it cannot paint your walls with full thickness latex paint. Look at our Flexio models for applying latex paint on your projects. For help choosing the right sprayer for your project call us at 1-800-328-8251.

Hi, I was at Lowes and I saw your Wagner Control Spray 250 Handheld HVLP Paint Sprayer. My question is, can I use this sprayer for primer (I just purchased from Lowes the Zinsser Mold Killing Primer).

Asked by: Magno
Yes you can, but it may require some thinning. We don't suggest more than 20% because that will affect the paint. But 5-10-15% is just fine. Spray from 6" away and apply a wet coat with each pass. For more tips call us at 1-800-328-8251.
