Rated 4 out of 5 by from Loved the final product I ordered my Wagner Paint Gun online and received it promptly. I used it to paint my daughters bedroom. Wow. It took a fraction of the time to paint that it did to prep and tape room. I really liked the finished product. I didn’t have to change from roller to brush to get edges or corners.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to assemble and disassemble Easy to put together and take apart. Easy to clean and use. Great directions. Lightweight. Only drawback is that because I have smaller hands, the length between handle and trigger a little too far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Deck Railing and Spindles I had this now for about a month, and the first thing I noticed was how easy it was to assemble. Here are other features that I like about the Wagner Control Painter, Material Flow Control Setting, let you control how much paint you can use. Setting from 1-12, I set my at 5 or 6, which was enough paint to cover the railing and spindles. If you need to change from vertical to horizontal, no problem, just turn the Front Adjustment Ring a quarter turn, that's it. The Spray Width Lever is a great feature, you can adjust the width of the spray pattern just by sliding the lever. The paint that I used was a Urethane Semi-Gloss Enamel, the paint came out easily with no drip or spills. The on/off switch is on both sides next to the trigger, you can easily turn it on and off no matter if you right handed or left handed. Over all I really like this sprayer and I would highly recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked great for staining my fence I was a little nervous using a sprayer for my first time, especially with lots of negative experiences from others but this worked perfect. Yes it would be nice if container were larger but wear gloves and use a pour spout on your cans and not too much hassle. I stained about 250 linear feet of fence in about 2 hours. Looks fantastic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for stain/waterproofing This Wagner Sprayer has been great! Had a crew in to build a run-in barn utilized the sprayer to spray the entire exterior with a tinted waterproofing. Sprayed even coats making the process very quick.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great asset The painter itself is easy to assemble right out of the box. It has two types of adjustments on it. The first one is if you want to spray horizontally or vertically which is easy with the turn of the front adjustment. The next one is the adjustment at the trigger that starts at 1 to 11 Allowing you to spray more of the paint. Also has an easy turn on off button near the trigger. The container is easy to take off and put back on again. I put latex paint into the easy container and use it to spray on a piece of plywood that I had for a project. The paint came out easy with no drips or spills. The sprayer is light enough not to stress my hand as well. Construction of the painter is plastic, some places it feels a little light like in the handle, but it feels the construction is doable type of plastic that should last for a good long time. You also are given in the box a spray poster from which you can use 2 learn how to use the sprayer even more efficiently, horizontally, vertically or even using the finish nozzle to show you how easy it is to adjust for whatever application you may have. Lastly the sprayer comes with a cleaning Small Spiral brush to clean the tude in the spray bottle. I give this painter sprayer four ½ out of five stars. Even though it is plastic as most tools are nowadays it does get whatever small project or big project done in a safe and reliable manner.

Just bought one and now notice the "exterior" designation. Is this sprayer unsuitable for painting interior surfaces? Also, manaul instructs no tipping in excess of 45°. Will I get paint in turbine if trigger is pulled and exceed 45°?

Asked by: Honeydo
Sorry, the product is not showing up for me, I don't know which one you have. If it has a motor on the back of the spray gun it cannot be tilted upward past 45 degrees or the fluid will get into the motor and damage it. Give us a call at 800-328-8251 for further help, thanks for your inquiry!

Need to paint the inside of a utility trailer.  What kind or type of paint can I use in my Wagner Control Sprayer?

Asked by: Douglasstuart
The Control Sprayer series was intended for thin bodied materials like stains and clear coats. Latex paint will need to be thinned about 20% to spray well, if at all. For spraying thicker materials, like latex paint, look at our Flexio HVLP, they have more power.https://www.wagnerspraytech.com/?s=flexio

WILL THE CONTROL PAINTER SPRAYER CLOG IF I USE SOLID COLOR STAIN FOR PAINTING A LARGE DECK

Asked by: GOOSE
There are a few things you can do to help prevent clogging. First, strain the stain to help prevent putting clogs into the sprayer. Thin the stain slightly, even 5% makes a huge difference in how it sprays. Stir the stain with a mixer in a drill, medium speed for one minute. Also, you can keep a damp rag nearby to occasionally wipe off excess material from the nozzle. For more tips and tricks call technical support at 800-328-8251.

What kind of paint can be used with the control sprayer

Asked by: William Dudley
The Control Sprayer HVLP is for use with water-based or mineral spirit-type materials with a minimum flash point of 38ºC (100º F). Flash point is the temperature at which a fluid can produce enough vapor to ignite. Before spraying, the material being used may need to be thinned with the proper solvent as specified by the material manufacturer. Never exceed the thinning advice given by the coating manufacturer. For more tips call us at 800-328-8251.
