Rated 1 out of 5 by Kaitlin from Great When It Works I purchased 2 Paint N Roll Plus rollers from Walmart a few weeks ago. The roller on one works fine and provides nice coverage, but the ridges that the clip sits in on the other one is likely defective. This defect causes the roller to slip out of place and paint to spray wildly when used. I have attempted to contact customer support and have had no success. I would encourage caution when purchasing this project.

Rated 1 out of 5 by PaintingContractor from Good For A Gallon When this roller works its fantastic, however it only does that for a gallon of paint and then it drips all over the place. I thought I was doing something wrong the first time I used it, so I cleaned it up and put it away and finished with a manual roller. The following time when I tried it, it did the same thing. What a pain, it bad enough that the clean-up on this thing takes about a 1/2 hour which you can deduct from the time you save with it, but when you have to deal with the clean-up of the dripped paint all over it is definitely not worth it. It's really too bad because for larger projects it would be a real time saver.

Rated 1 out of 5 by PollyPainter from I'd rather use a paint tray I loved the idea of not needing to climb up and down a ladder to load my paint roller a thousand times, and I talked my husband into buying this. I thought it would save so much time and energy, HOWEVER; while I do not need to keep reloading the roller, the pad keeps popping off mid-stroke! When this happens, paint usually drips all over, and then when i pop it back into place, the paint splatters everywhere. I'm getting pretty annoyed and want to throw the thing in the trash. The "owners manual" doesn't help at all either - the only troubleshooting information it offers are things related to not cleaning the product properly...which I haven't even gotten to yet. I definitely won't suggest anyone purchase this item!

Rated 1 out of 5 by LexieL from Great concept but the clip that holds the roller on pops off I purchased this to help me efficiently paint the main living area of our home. It worked great for the first half gallon of paint but then the clip that holds the roller on weakens and roller pops off; dumping paint everywhere. The first time it happened I thought I must have bumped the clip somehow. I went on to the next wall and the head popped off FIVE times on that wall. Not a good feeling when you are up on a ladder and the head comes off and paint is running down the wall and to the floor all over your drop cloth. I finished the wall and didn't have to worry about the clean up as the whole thing went in the trash. Also, something to consider is when it is full of paint it becomes heavy if you are trying to paint in areas such as above your cabinets.

Rated 1 out of 5 by shorted from Damaged goods Ordered on line thru Amazon, roller was damaged, thru the shipping box away, thought I wouldn't need it, Cost too much to ship back so I repaired it, was able to use it once, and only once, would not suck up the paint, clean and re-clean again. just would not suck any paint would not work again. What a waste of money, Don't think I will be doing much more shopping on line shopping either.

Rated 1 out of 5 by nan12 from the product eas very poo I few years ago I had purchase a wagner paint n roll it was great. So when I needed to start painting rooms again I went & bought a new one. It was awful. Didn't roll smoothly . When I got close to the ceiling the paint didn't go on evenly. You had to put alot of pressure on the roll to try to get an even roll. I had to finish the room by using a regular roller. I wish I had known it was going to be this difficult to use I would have saved the 25 dollars. The money I don't have to waste! I wish I could have returned it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Rialynx from What a time saver! We painted the ceiling in the room in only 30 minutes. It was so much easier than the old fashioned way. The walls were a breeze. My husband loves it for me. I love it too, it really is simple to use.

Where do I find a storage box or plastic storage box to save the roller and its component parts?
We do not manufacture a storage box or case for our rollers. Since you will need something with length you may be able to use a storage container for wrapping paper. The roller arm and cover can be stored in any regular tool box or bag.

My roller pad keeps popping off! (I even gouged my wall because of this!) What can I do to fix it?
I will be in the middle of painting the wall and the roller pad will pop off, and paint will drip everywhere. I gouged my wall because it happened mid-stroke and I'm not very happy! Every time it happens, when I snap the pad back into place, paint splatters everywhere. This is not going as I had planned. I almost would rather just climb up and down the ladder with a normal paint tray. The users manual is completely useless, as the only troubleshooting information it provides are things associated with me not cleaning the item properly...Help!
I'm sorry about the problem you have had with the Paint-N-Roll. We have terrific technical support that is here to help. It sounds like the clip that holds it together has failed and needs replacement. Call us at 800-328-8251.

how do you unscrew the plunger to get to the o rings?
Ours was already assembled and it is impossible to separate .
If the unit is assembled out of the box, the o-rings are already lubricated for your first use. To disassemble, the collar that holds the plunger will need to be pulled off. It is a pressure fit, not threaded, and the easiest way to remove it will be to simply pull the plunger back against it. You may need to repeat that a few times for it to pop out.

Leaking from the cap P#0514118
when i used my paintmate plus the paint is leaking from behind the white cap, the seal part number 0514112 is installed correctly, what is the issue?
The seal may need to be lubricated with some petroleum jelly or may need to be replaced. You can order those from us by calling (800)328-8251.

Can the Paint-N-Roll be used to stain a deck and if so does it need a special roller replacement
Looking to stain with the semi transparent redwood stain
You certainly could apply stain to a deck using a Paint-N-Roll, however in order to get into the cracks and crevasses of the boards, as well as in between the boards a product like our DeckMate is better suited.

Can you use any standard roller covers?
I see the inside of the cover has a bunch of holes in it and I'm wondering if I have to buy new ones from Wagner.
The roller cover needs to be a 9" perforated roller. You can call us directly at 1-800-760-3844 to place an order for replacement covers.

Can i buy a lid with a suction tube designed to fit a five gallon bucket?
My unit came with a "rubberized" lid and fill tube to fit a 1 gallon paint can. It worked very well. I usually paint out of a five gallon bucket. Do you have a lid and fill tube that will fit that??
We do not have a lid for a 5 gallon bucket, however we do have a 5 gallon adapter that will allow you to draw paint directly from a 5 gallon container. The pn# is 0284051B and can be ordered by calling Wagner directly at 1-800-760-3844.

When I try to fill the main tube paint won't go in. What am I doing wrong?
I'm sorry you're having difficulty with your Pain-N-Roll. Please check all of the o-rings and seals in the unit. Make sure they are in good condition and are lubricated. Check the fill valve for cleanliness and make sure you are tightly and completely pushing the fill tube into the fill valve. If you need help troubleshooting, please call Wagner at 1-800-760-3844.
