Just completed a 9 X 9 cedar shed with a cedar shake roof and it only took about 2 hours.Set up time about 5 minutes and cleanup about 15 minutes.Used CIL transparent stain the new water base which made cleanup much easier.
Very easy to use especially with the 35 foot hose only thing is that I would recommend reversing the spray tip for cleaning purposes as stated in the manual.
Excellent product and very good value for the money.

Only used the procoat once and it seemed to work fine. I would recommend using only latex paints due to the ease of cleaning with hot soapy water instead of mineral spirits. The plastic clips that hold the intake tube and return tube broke instantly but will call customer support for replacement ones. Hopefully it will work well for many years to come.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Two concerns: The material return tube is to short; should reach down as far as the inlet filter. The inlet filter did not come with a washer and should have. Developed a leak at the outlet valve which was not tightened enough at the factory prior to shipping; I had checked this however what I thought was tight enough initially wasn't.
Cleanup - latex materials is a slow process and takes getting use to.
Spraying was trouble free and fast.

brand new fresh out of the box, this thing would not prime. i even tried straight water and it would not suck it up the hose I modified the intake to a gravity feed and it worked ok for a short while then slowed down to a trickle. I cleaned the filter in the gun but it made no difference.tried to use the cheapo plastic tool that comes with it to take apart the intake for cleaning but it just rounded out and didn't work. EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING! would not recomend this to anyone. dont waste your money

I used this product once and it was difficult even then to get going. Just brought it out for it's second use (yes, i cleaned it properly after the first use) and it won't pick up paint. Absolutely a useless product. Why this was ever put on the market, I will never know!! Won't be using Wagner products again.

But we enjoyed using the Wagner Procoat on several outdoor projects. We used latex stain on a large cedar deck and latex paint on all the roof overhangs and porch ceilings. It was actually fun to use with surprisingly little need for masking because of very little overspray. We did some masking but mostly my wife held a shield with a handle while I sprayed. We were amazed how fast and easy the projects went. Now if I could just find some device that would yard work fun!
Yes, I recommend this product.

It seems like it's not holding pressure. Before the motor will stop when releasing the spray gun trigger, now the motor runs constantly and it does not spray. What could be the problem? Thank You.

I would recommend checking your outlet valve to make sure that you do not have a small particle of paint stuck on one of the o-rings on the outlet valve. I would take the outlet valve out, clean it really well in warm soapy water, and take a small screwdriver a pop the disc on the bottom of the outlet valve out. Behind the disc there is a spring and o-ring. Make sure that spring and o-ring are clean and not damaged in any way. Oil the o-rings and put back together. If you continue to have problems your outlet valve may need to be replaced. The valves are normal wearing parts and will wear in between 30-50 gallons depending on the type of paint you are spraying. You will also want to make sure that the paint you are spraying is within the recommended tip size of the sprayer. The maximum tip size that you can support is .015. If you are using a paint that requires a larger tip size it will wear the valve faster than if you are using a paint that requires a .015 tip.

The sprayer will produce overspray so you will want to make sure that you are spraying on a calm day. if you would like a sprayer that isn't going to produce much overspray I would look at our Control Spray Max.6 months ago
I've been using the ProCoat for a couple of days and I've noticed that it consumes too much paint and the coat that i apply is to thick and begins to drip because of that. Is there a way specific diluting ratio recommended to prevent such consumption of paint or is there a simpler way to prevent the thick coat and dripping?

If you think the sprayer is putting out too much paint I would recommend checking with the manufacture of the paint to see what they recommend for a tip size when using an airless sprayer. You may be using too large of a tip. You can also turn the pressure down some by moving it towards the roll position to help regulate the pressure.5 months, 2 weeks ago
I was using the sprayer and in the middle of using it, it stopped building pressure. I then cleaned the gun filter and then tried to prime it again. Nothing happened. I then decided to completely clean the sprayer and try it again. I could not get the sprayer to prime in order to clean out the return hose. Even with a water hose hoolked up, it would not suck up any water and spit it out through the return hose like I had previously done. I have only sprayed 7 gallons of paint through the sprayer and I have owned it for 3 days and thoroughly cleaned it after each use. Also, only sometimes will it even turn on when in the prime mode now. And if it does turn on it turns off after a few seconds without spitting anything out of the return tube.

If you are having problems priming your sprayer you will want to check your inlet valve to make sure that the poppet valve on the inlet valve is free. I recommend removing the inlet valve and inspecting the o-rings to make sure that they are not discolored/damaged in any way, oil them, and put back together. Once you have cleaned and inspected you can test it with water to see if it will prime.5 months, 3 weeks ago
