Power Tex 4.7 5 9 9
Could use some design tweeking I bought this gun because I didn't want to have to drag an air compressor everywhere I go (do this as a side business). I was worried that it would not have enough power to shoot a ceiling but gave it a try. It shot an 8 ft ceiling fairly easily, Shot it twice but not out of the ordinary. Shoots walls nicely. My problem is with the hopper, the opening is too small do dump texture from a 5 gal bucket into it without making a mess. Fanning out the top so it is bigger while keeping a handle would make this a 5 star rating. Fix this and you will have knocked it out of the park. I like that you can adjust the hopper from ceilings to walls without clamps. For the most part it is a good machine and would recomend it for smaller jobs. January 28, 2014
Worth Every Penny! Product does everything it says and does it well. I'm a do it yourselfer and used this to do orange peel on entire ceiling of a 2400sqr foot home......I've run about 12 gallons of texture thru it and it has never failed.....flawless and great texture......Clean up is easy.....congrats to whoever designed this Wagner product! amazing I am a Drywall Contractor and typically I do al my textures by hand. I needed to match an existing texture in a renovation of a new hotel, soundproofing, but I couldnt match it by hand and I did not want an over spray from a traditional hopper. I did 14 walls in 1 day and matched the existing texture(a knockdown) perfectly! I will buy another for my company, this is truelly an amazing product. September 19, 2013
Hands down the BEST Texture Sprayer I was using a traditional hopper/compressor setup but it was taking to long to do my 17' x 14' living room. I did some research and found this bad boy. Finished the job including ceiling in 4hr for me that's good. A pro would have been done in half the time. July 22, 2013
Wow! I have never tried to do my own texture before and was a little hesitant to venture out but the Wagner Power Tex performed much better than I expected. I wish I had found this machine long ago. I applied a light "orange peel" texture to a 10' X 10' room, including the ceiling and mixed the material to a consistency somewhere between a pancake batter and a crepe batter. Thinner works best! Does work! Great for small patching jobs, a lot of over spray, make sure to cover all things . May 27, 2012
Wagner Power Tex is simple to use I purchased to texture our home walls and ceilings. The Wagner Power Tex worked great. Simple to use and easy cleanup. Important to buy texture mix and not joint compund and try to thin it out. The medium setting worked for me. The knockdown texture looks great and most important my wife is very happy. This product is performing better than my expectations. I bought this product with the hope of saving a few dollars and do my own texturing. It worked so easily, that I am now going to do all the walls in my basement. I am very pleased with the results and will recommend it to anyone. January 15, 2012

Check your local home center for Litex's Popcorn Ceiling Spray Dry Mix. It's a dry mix powder that you add water and/or paint.

Answer:
Power Tex would work great for touch ups in all buildings. There's no compressor to haul around. Just plug in outlet and turn on.

Yes that is exactly what we would recommend. Mix it so that it is similar to pancake batter in consistency.

Answer:
this is a question that will have varying answers depending on who you talk to. I do both depending on who I am working for. The only difference that I see is the texture on bare sheet rock will look more subtle after it dries because it soaks in a little bit compared to shooting texture on a primed wall. It all depends on the look you want but the difference is very slight and most people would not be able to tell.
