made short work of the ceiling
Brand new unit started leaking out of the joint between the handle and the roller arm about 2/3 of the way through a 22x11 ceiling. After finishing the ceiling with drips on the floor my unit started leaking profusely through a factory sealed connection going to the roller itself. It then went into a trash bag and straight into the dumpster

Power paint roller
Worked great and was used on high walls. Fast and reduced the ladder climbing. Clean up was tough but worth it. A great time and back saver.

Good product, but ....
I use this product frequently in restoring rental apartments. It is a time saver, and also eliminates the problems with paint pans spilling and the drips associated with using them. I recently bought a backup unit because I needed spare parts that just could not be found anywhere. This is very disappointing that dealers don't carry spare parts. It would seem to be common sense marketing that if you want satisfied customers, require that at least the basic parts like the roller retainer and feed insert, roller assembly, etc.

Looks good in the box, but an extremely poor product
I purchased the Wagner Power Roller Max (WPPM) to paint several remodeled rooms. Of course the reason for purchase was to save time and effort on the job. This product did neither. The paint application to the roller comes out in uneven gobs, and makes a smooth paint application on the wall impossible. I spent more time just trying to smooth out the thick paint streaks on the wall. This is even with the WPPM set at a low flow rate. Other reviewers have mentioned that the connections leak paint at the roller handle. Mine also leaked and dripped from the handle, making a mess down my hand. When you turn the WPPM off to change location, the paint from the roller brush keeps oozing out.
The paint application on the wall looked so poor, I finally just gave up and used a manual hand roller. Finally, clean up is far from a snap, I spent a good hour just clean all the equipment. This product does not save time, plus the paint application is uneven and blotchy. I found the old fashion method was the best. I tool the WPPM back for a return. I don't recommend this product at all.

Product is good, but not as good as older models
Purchased to replace a Wagner Roll Fast Plus Power Roller. Compared to my old one, the new Max model has a hose that is 2 feet longer and a reversible pump to push paint back into the paint can. However, it does not include as many attachments or a 5 gallon paint adapter. Right out of the box, I had issues with paint leaking from the connection between the roller arm and the extension. The leak was severe (dripping) and would prevent usage on an inside project. I was doing an outside job and was able to finish, but wasted a lot of paint. Wagner provided a new seal kit, but that did not stop the leak which leads me to believe there is a problem with either the roller arm or the extension. These are great tools if they work correctly. I feel confident that the company will work with me to get the leaking problem resolved.

Nothing bad to say!
I purchased this for a vacation home; painted all 1700 sq. ft. in 2 days, 2 coats. I still have the original one, about 10 years old (maybe more) that I've used, and lent to others in the family and the thing just won't die! Purchsed this one because of the newer features that I always wished the original had. People with the negative reviews, hire a painter! All painting tools are time consuming to clean, but this is one of the easiest.

Answer:
Kenneth,I wouldn't hesitate to use the Wagner Power Paint Roller on six inch lap siding.
I'd use a longer nap roller (3/4 inch). Apply paint vertically, and then work paint into overlaps horizontally to get an even spread of the paint.
Believe me, you'll be happy with the results of using Wagner.
AND, IT IS SO FAST.

I have a new roll N go that I just took out of the box. I followed all the instructions. It took over 2 1/2 hours to get the [paint thru the tube to the roller. Is this Normal? if there any thing I'm not doing?

Answer:
Don't know what a roll n go is, but the paint n roll, of which I have 2, are great for individual rooms, that are being painted different colors. Check all the seals, and make sure the o-rings are in place. Also, check for clogs; sometimes you can suck up a peice of skinned paint and push it through the tool. It dosen't like that!! ;-)1 year, 3 months ago
