Power Roller Max
Overall great product
The first time I used the roller, I loved it! Made short order of a very large room and clean-up took about half an hour. The second time proved to be a very messy task. It leaked all over the place so I just put a drop cloth down and completed the room. Upon cleaning the unit, I noticed I had installed the roller arm seal backwards - which caused the leak. Worked fine ever since. Not practical for a small room since cleanup is tedious; but a great product for those of us who hate to roll paint!

worked fine for me
I am not trying to be rude but I am seeing a lot of reviews and complaints about leaks on this product and other Wagner products. Well here is my take on this issue. Learn the ins and out's of your machine. Seals leak, seals can get cut if not installed properly, seals can just simply fall out . If stored in extreme heat for long periods of time they can dry out and crack. Hoses can bust for no reason at all. On the Wagner paint crew were talking 2700 psi so please people learn your tool before you turn them on. I have had my Wagner paint crew and roller max for 8 years. Treat them right and they will last.

Buy something else
Poor quality rubber seals in the paint handle guaranteed paint leaks in the carpet for me. What a joke. Now I have to clean the carpet. This product does NOT save any time because cleaning it after painting is extremely time-consuming and messy. I had to put everything in a large plastic trash bag to get it out of the house to avoid dripping water and paint over everything. Now the mess I made cleaning it had to be cleaned up. So much for saving time! THIS PRODUCT IS NOT READY FOR PRIME TIME. BUY SOMETHING ELSE!

leaking was a problem but a real time saver
I had problems with leaks like other people who reviewed this product but my leak was mostly at the roller. Tried 3 seals and still dripped occasionally. We were in a duplexes that were getting new carpet so it was tolerable. Finally used the head off my paint stick which is exactly the same and have put on 20 gallons with no drips. Mennards said to bring it back and they would replace it. I would like to see Wagner offer an 18" head for it. I think it saves A LOT of time, coverage is excellent, we use less paint and clean up for the amount of work we get done isn't bad at all. Not for a one room job but anything over 1 room its worth getting out. As a landlord painting 4 or 5 units in a week I wouldn't be without it.

made short work of the ceiling
Brand new unit started leaking out of the joint between the handle and the roller arm about 2/3 of the way through a 22x11 ceiling. After finishing the ceiling with drips on the floor my unit started leaking profusely through a factory sealed connection going to the roller itself. It then went into a trash bag and straight into the dumpster

Power paint roller
Worked great and was used on high walls. Fast and reduced the ladder climbing. Clean up was tough but worth it. A great time and back saver.

Good product, but ....
I use this product frequently in restoring rental apartments. It is a time saver, and also eliminates the problems with paint pans spilling and the drips associated with using them. I recently bought a backup unit because I needed spare parts that just could not be found anywhere. This is very disappointing that dealers don't carry spare parts. It would seem to be common sense marketing that if you want satisfied customers, require that at least the basic parts like the roller retainer and feed insert, roller assembly, etc.

Looks good in the box, but an extremely poor product
I purchased the Wagner Power Roller Max (WPPM) to paint several remodeled rooms. Of course the reason for purchase was to save time and effort on the job. This product did neither. The paint application to the roller comes out in uneven gobs, and makes a smooth paint application on the wall impossible. I spent more time just trying to smooth out the thick paint streaks on the wall. This is even with the WPPM set at a low flow rate. Other reviewers have mentioned that the connections leak paint at the roller handle. Mine also leaked and dripped from the handle, making a mess down my hand. When you turn the WPPM off to change location, the paint from the roller brush keeps oozing out.
The paint application on the wall looked so poor, I finally just gave up and used a manual hand roller. Finally, clean up is far from a snap, I spent a good hour just clean all the equipment. This product does not save time, plus the paint application is uneven and blotchy. I found the old fashion method was the best. I tool the WPPM back for a return. I don't recommend this product at all.
