Worked great, until it didn't
Bought this sprayer, used it for the first time today. Project: Paint garage! Simple enough, right? I spent all morning moving everything to away from the walls, filling in holes, and cutting in. Then I got to the spraying part. Hooked it up to a gallon paint can, it self primed in about thirty seconds, and away we went. I was happier than a hog in a mud puddle for wall one. Spay was perfect, no spitting, on it's way to a perfect five stars. The problem began as I made the turn into wall two. About a quarter of the way into it the entire front section fell off. The part that sprays the paint and holds the hoses. I'm standing there with the handle and motor. Oh well, stuff happens, I get out the instructions and figure how to put it back together. Okay happily spraying again for about a minute then the spitting begins. I figure it must have got an air bubble when it fell apart. Eventually the spitting stopped and it began spraying again for about five minutes then the entire front section fell off AGAIN! Now I'm not so happy, but at lest I know how to put it back together, which I did. Fired it up, started spitting again then smoothed out again. At this point I should point out that the ceiling in my garage is ten feet high. Okay every things going along fine for another ten minutes, however I am now four steps up on a ladder spraying the top of the wall when BAM! The entire front of the sprayer fell off AGAIN!!! But this time when it fell it pulled the paint bucket out of my hand as it went cascading to the floor. Luckily I had put a drop cloth down, but I still lost a good three quarters of a gallon of paint. That's about $18 worth! Now that's it. The third time was the charm. I spent the next hour and a half trying to clean the mess up in the garage (because some of it of course leaked through the drop cloth# as well as clean the sprayer #although not as good as I would have were I keeping it). So tomorrow I'm returning it to Home Depot. Not HD's fault, they just sold it to me, I blame Wagner, poor design. So I have a half finished garage, and a sprayer that doesn't work and now I have to buy another gallon of paint. Not my best Memorial Day! I'm giving it two stars instead of one or none because when it wasn't in the process of falling apart, it worked GREAT! I hope this helps in your decision on which sprayer to buy. I sure does in my next one.

It is easy to operate good coverage easy to clean
I painted the whole inside of my house, 7 rooms, and was a pleasure to use. After I finished the last room it stopped working as I was cleaning it. I would think it should last longer than that. Was hoping to use it in the future. Need to change the seals after the 3rd room. I have had the unit for less than 2 years. Could not find the receipt so I could not have warranty work done.

Answer:
If you are having problems spraying the Kilz2 primer. I would recommend stirring the paint really well. I would also recommend doing an arms length pass and let go of the trigger. I would not recommend holding the trigger down continuously. The reason being in the piston inside the machine moves 2000 times per minute and if you are holding down the trigger continuously the heat from the piston starts to dry the paint inside the machine causing it to spit, sputter, or even seize the piston. If you continue to have problems please contact our customer service department at 1-800-328-8251.1 year, 7 months ago

II would recommend our Power Painter Max with Ez Tilt for painting ceilings. The Power Painter Max will only allow you to tilt the sprayer at a 45 degree angle where the Power Painter Max with Ez tilt will allow you to spray at any angel because of the flexible suction tube.1 year, 1 month ago
