Step 1
Remove the flower box from the deck, house or other structure.
Step 2
Remove all the flowers and dirt from the box. Clean the flower box with water. Hose out all the dirt and get completely clean. Let the flower box dry thoroughly.
Step 3
Sand down any spots that have peeling paint. The Wagner PaintEater is a powerful tool that makes paint removal fast and easy. Or you can use a sanding block or wire brush to remove the flaking paint.
Step 4
Move the flower box to your work area, either in a workshop or on a drop cloth.
Step 6
Select high quality paint so it will cover well, providing good protection and durability.
Step 7
Start spraying the paint on the flower box. Spray evenly and cover all sides, even the bottom for additional protection against the harsh weather.
Step 8
Let the flower box dry completely before adding a second coat if necessary.
Step 9
If necessary, add your own personal style by painting on additional designs or flowers to upgrade the look of the flower box.
Step 10
Add dirt and flowers. Put it back in its original location to enjoy.
