I bought this on a whim expecting to trough away my $200's. Wow I can't belive how great it woorks. I am a professional automotive painter and had never used an airless sprayer. When I got home i read on the internet to learn about tip sizes, as the one it came with trough way to much paint. The large box stores do not carry the right tips. I got mine on ebay, you need 211, 212, 213, 311, 312 and 313 to do a nice job with latex and oil paints. Anyways I live on a farm and I painted to 50 x 100 pole barn roof and all! Two large wooden barns that are 60 x 40 x 60' tall, a old two story house, plus i bring to work all the time and paint equipment, traliers and storage units. I have had it for over a year, use it all the time and have no problems what so ever. I love it and whis i had one twenty years ago!

I bought this sprayer to spray thick stain on a fence. It worked well for that job. On my next job I tried to spray a latex primer. It worked for a few minutes then stopped. The filter in the handle clogs easily and the small spring loaded valve in the outlet valve will be blown off the valve and out the spray gun. Parts are hard to find and expensive to replace. Don't plan to spray anything thicker than latex stain and MAYBE, thinned latex house paint. Anything else will not work at all. Don't believe the PSI ratings, because maybe it can reach those pressures, but it can't pass thick materials through the filter. Spend your money on a professional unit, because this unit is not worth the price.

I bought this sprayer to spray thick stain on a fence. It worked well for that job. After a through cleaning I tried it on a latex primer but the sprayer clogged almost immediately. The small spring loaded seals in the pump will break loose and be blown out the sprayer with a thick paint, that is if the filter in the spray gun doesn't clog up first and shut the sprayer off completely! Parts are expensive and the manual is not written for repair by the do-it-yourself homeowner. Sending it out to a repair shop is not worth the cost. In short, it works to spray stains and THIN, latex paints. Otherwise, get a larger, professional unit, it may cost more, but it will last.

used to spray eves and stucco on my rental. Spray started out fine but after an hour or so, the pump started to run continuously at a low speed (with plenty of paint). The speed of the pump was adequate for the roller function, but would sputter and spatter using the sprayer.
Believe me this is not the first airless sprayer I have used. I do a very thorough job of cleaning, etc. Fresh paint. Not operator error.
I had high hopes for this sprayer. There are nice features like the removable tank, wheels, etc. Unfortunately the electronics/mechanics that inform the motor about what speed to run and when to start and stop at pressure just didn't work in my unit. .

Works well - until you need a replacement part! In cleaning, there is a small spring in the base of the hopper Inlet Filter that got damaged. No replacement part spring is available. Instead you need to replace the complete hopper assembly at a cost of $38 - $46.00! Maybe a $0.25 part is all you need but it cost $45.00!!!!!!!! Value – it’s not worth what you paid if you cannot get replacement parts at an affordable price!

I am so pleased with this product! :) I bought this painter because i was a first time homebuyer and I RAN OUT OF MONEY, every painter I talked to wanted $800 and up to paint two stories with vaulted ceilings on the inside. With paint and this painter I was out of $400 tops...Got the job done! Once you set it up, your good to go! Read the instructions it wont spray if you dont put the little key like thing in the spraygun part. Now its time to paint the outside its 3.5 years later! just clean it when you finish!

We painted our house in a day and a half with this Paint Crew Painter and it did a fantastic job. I would and have recommended it to many others. Cleaning it properly takes a few extra minutes but that is something that should be done correctly. I would buy this product again if something ever happened to mine.

Great spayer, easy to use are the pros. The cons are: not a large enough paint container and have to clean up immediately after use.
When a part is needed, there is a local representative -- just don't catch him a bad day!

The maximum tip size that the Paint Crew Plus can support is a .015. If the manufacture of the paint recommends a .015 tip or smaller no thinning is needed.

This is a paint crew plus, about 2 years old. The entire screw and hex head are plastic as is the removal tool. I tried the tool first and it just rounded off the inside flats. I then used a metal hex socket wrench. Is there another way to remove the inlet valve?

If you cannot get the inlet valve out with the removal tool provided you can use a 11/16 allen wrench. If you continue to have problems please contact us at 1-800-328-8251 and one of our representatives will be able to assist you.

The instructions say to use a 5/8" socket and insert the removal tool to remove the inlet valve. The tool just falls through the 5/8" socket and the next size down is too small. I see where you recommend an 11/16" allen wrench but that is too big for the Paint Crew Plus. The other sizes I try seem to fit but when I start turning them, they just turn. I think the plastic has gotten soft. Any solutions?

The inlet valve removal too does not go into the 5/8" socket it fits onto the socket so you can put it down into the machine to use the tool to remove the inlet valve. If I am understanding your question wrong please give our customer service a call so we can help you over the phone. You can contact us at 1-800-328-8251.
