For the price, you can not beat this Wagner HT775 Heat Gun. It is constructed and performs like the more expensive guns. Plus, it has a replaceable heating element that is simple to change, should it ever go out.
I used mine for the first time to heat shrink tubing on electrical wires. On the low setting, it took about 20 seconds to complete the heat-shrink process. I also used the low setting to soften and bend plastic tubing. On the high side, this thing will easily soften and strip paint as well. Neither have I had any issues about blowing a 15 amp fuse during continous use. Be sure to use the cool-down fan immediately after use (as described in the instructions) to prolong heating element. This thing gets hot FAST!
In addition, I purchased the Milwaukee/Wagner Accessory Tip Kit to use with my heat gun. These really come in handy for those more intricate jobs. And they fit like a glove.
Prosreasonably priced, high performance, solid construction
