Great sprayer for even a novice like me!
Quite easy to learn how to use this unit. I painted over 30 kitchen cabinet doors and 25 drawer fronts, they came out looking very professional. This is one purchase I will never regret.

Great value and a time saver
The wagner spray max is a very nice sprayer for the money, cleans up easily and will save you money on paint and other produts as well.It works good on walls but great on trims and smaller projects,if you are doing alot of wall area I recommend useing the Power roller it dos a great job on walls and will save you time and money as well, both are worth the purchase in my opinion.

This product is a real work horse
We gave this sprayer a real work out on a large deck. The most important factor that we found is consistency. Keeping the sprayer at the same distance from your work surface and moving it at even strokes gave us the best performance. It was a bit windy and that added another factor that we needed to adjust for.
We used a stain/sealer and it went on nicely. Our deck had not been sealed for nearly five years and it really soaked up the sealer, but not having to continually dip and brush was great. Again, we had to adjust the pressure when we moved from the deck floor to the spindles. It will take some experimentation but the tool was up to the task. we had the unit running continuously for five hours without any problem.
Clean up was great with Dawn dish washing liquid and water. It was back in the box and now is ready to do two more smaller projects in the future. Knowing that clean up was so easy makes it easier to get it out for another use.

worthless
Tried panting fence and also applying stain on deck. It was slow and not even. Ended up getting rid of it at garage sale. Think you should know I have used air sprays and painted autos and furniture.. Have not talked too anyone who likes them/

Great for Big Projects
Great product, used this item to stain both the inside and outside of my enourmous fence. I used an oil based stain which didn't require any thinning, followed the directions and got the project done rather quickly. I also painted my Shed with a latex based paint. I had to thin the paint, but had the Shed done in no time. Fairly quiet machine, no louder than your average vacuum cleaner. I would recommend this product for those of you that have big projects to do.

Answer:
Yes, the sprayer can be used indoors in a well ventalated area. The transfer rate on the Control Spray Max is about 90/10. So it will produce about 10 percent overspray.1 year, 8 months ago
The box states it can be used for interior latex, your website Q&A states it can be used inside, yet the product sticker states "Intended for outdoor use ONLY!" Why does your product sticker state one thing and the literature and website state something else?

Answer:
Its can be used indoors just use a dust mask or something so you dont breath in alot of fumes and paint dust and it also will get alot of dust on your floors and evrything else so you need to cover or remove as much as possible,(wipes up easily but its more time spent)11 months ago
Answer:
One of the benefits of Wagner’s unique HVLP design, is that our Quick Click front ends are interchangeable between HVLP system. The current warning label that indicates “Intended for outdoor use ONLY!” was first developed prior to the introduction of the Control Spray Max product. It is safe to use the Control Spray Max indoors with interior latex. If using with flammable coatings such as some solvent based stains, it is recommended that the unit be used in a well-ventilated area. We appreciate you bringing this discrepancy to our attention and are addressing this.1 year, 2 months ago

Answer:
Either model will spray thinned latex paint. The Control Spray Max has a pressure control dial. The pressure control dial adjusts the level of air pressure produced by the turbine.1 year, 8 months ago
