Control Spray

Fine Finishing

Overview

The Wagner Control Spray uses HVLP (High Volume Low Pressure) air power technology to spray thin materials such as stains, sealers, urethanes, varnishes, and lacquers. It features an outdoor rated air turbine for a continuous flow of material and air producing a professional fine finish whether staining your deck or refinishing your lawn furniture.

A three position air cap adjusts the spray pattern for either vertical fan, horizontal fan, or round pattern shapes to most effectively get the job done quickly and with the best even coverage. Material flow is easily controlled with the variable trigger allowing the user to spray 1/2 inch wide to 6 inch wide patterns. Sets up in less than 5 minutes and cleans up in less than 10 minutes.

Wagner Control Spray 4 5 10 10
Great product, would buy again. I make woodcrafts and woodart. I needed to try and cut my painting time down as I was painting w/ a roller. This sprayer has cut my paint time by 65% or more and most pieces are good w/ one coat; if properly applied. The low pressure air system is great, not near the noise of the older systems. I stained a set of kitchen cabinets for my Dad, he was equally impressed w/ the quality and the ease of clean-up. Great product Wagner. Thanks. March 28, 2014
Completed 250 feet of redwood fence in 8 hours Flawless operation, very controlled pattern, no misting. The unit is very economical with the stain, you can control just the right flow for optimum coverage. Easy cleanup with mineral spirits. No clogging and it is fast. The right tool for the job. Easy to use and clean Had a power painter and never like it, was heavy, clogged and leaked more then I could get painted. Bought this based on the air power. Man does this thing WORK, nice coverage, lighter than power painter I feel but after 6 hours painting I was beat. This is a great paint sprayer and is all I use now. July 1, 2012
This is a bad boy! I purchased this product last week for a large deck project.I am staining a rather long and winding lake house deck.Must have been out of my mind to think a bucket and brush would do.I was able to complete about 55% of the deck in just under two hours.Finished in two days..AWESOME!!! Good value I bought the least expensve model for infrequent use. It performed very well while spraying stain on lattice. Clean-up was quick and easy. April 21, 2012
the product was terrific to use This particular sprayer was absolutely outstanding. We sprayed an entire deck and complete fence in about 5 hours - soomething I have done in the past that took 3 days!! The sprayer never had a problem, never clogged, had minimal dripping (due to my standing too close at times), covered the wood evenly, and was great when we cleaned it (which took about 10 minutes). For the $$ it is a super buy and I would recommend it to anyone. April 8, 2012
This is a good product This machine does not clog like a power painter. It has considerably less overspray. It is easy to take apart to clean and reassemble. February 16, 2012
Great Finish application!!! the best on the market!!! I've tried other major brand name(s) - and wagner/ Titan has the BEST HVLP units in the business- I was suprised with how well this "consumer" unit worked, as I usually spray with contractor units and needed something for quick touchups- this fit the bill! Answer:
Yes, you can use latex with the Control Spray, but it may need to be reduced. For thinning recommendation you will need to contact the manufacture of the paint that you will be spraying.

We used it a couple times with no problem but after a few months when we were ready to finish painting we could only get it to lightly spray. I did my best to clean it before using again and am not sure if that has something to do with it not spraying heavy or if I need a new nozzle?

Answer:
I would check your air filters to make sure that they are clean. Also check the consistency of your paint to make sure that it is not too thick. If you continue to have problems please give us a call at 1-800-328-8251.
