Awesome steamer This steamer works great. I bought mine at a yard sale for five dollars. They even left scrapers in the box. I have used it several times for wallpaper removal and it works great. I've even used it to clean cabinets and other surfaces. When it quits I will definitely buy another. April 3, 2014
Great when it worked... It worked great for two weeks and then all of a sudden would not heat up at all. I made sure the cord was connected to the main unit and then re-plugged it in multiple times just in case the automatic shut-off was stuck. (The last time I used it, I turned it off with plenty of water left in the tank.) It has only shut off automatically twice before the failure. According to the Wagner rep I spoke to on the phone, using the automatic shut-off is bad for the unit. Will be taking it back and hopefully getting a new one that will last longer. October 16, 2013
Buy don't rent! I rented a "professional" steamer at almost twice the price. I returned it and bought the Wagner 705. It works as well, if not better since it includes a smaller attachment for small spaces. Definitely recommend. Don't waste your money on a rental. August 22, 2013
Works as advertised This product worked great once it heats up. The only thing is you have to wait 10-15 mins before it gets going. But once it's heated up works like a charm. Did a fully wallpapered room in a couple hours. February 23, 2013
Worth More Than I Paid This is an incredible product. I will never return to the time consuming and expensive method of scoring the paper and spraying on the gel to get the paper off the wall. The best removal method I found is first, if possible, peel off the outer layer of paper leaving the adhesive paper backing on the wall. Then, without scoring the paper, take the steamer and hold it in place for about 10 seconds at ceiling level, letting the steam penetrate the paper backing. Move the steamer below the first position and while waiting for that to "cook", simply peel back the paper from the first spot. Then, put the steamer below the second position. Start peeling back where the steamer was in the second position, Then move the steamer vertically down the wall and as you move it, just keep peeling the backing paper off the wall. Most of the time I never used a scraper. Worth every penny I paid for this. August 27, 2012
Excellent product i purchased this unit as a last ditch effort to try and remove stubborn wallpaper in my bathroom. Nothing else worked so i decided to give this a try. Well let me tell you, this little machine works GREAT!!! Just as advertised. With very little effort i was able to completely strip off all the old wallpaper with no damage to the drywall. This is a great product and I highly recommend it to anyone. March 17, 2012
Very happy with the purchase. We had previously used the spray removers and the tool to puncture holes into the paper. With the 705 we did not have to do either of those things. The vinyl came off very easy and the paper peeled off after holding the steamer in place for 3-4 minutes. Would highly recommend this product. March 2, 2012
This steamer is the best on the market Does what it says it will do the only small problem it takes a while to heat up other than that it works great March 2, 2012

Answer:
I would unplug the power cord and plug it back into the steamer to make sure that you are getting a good connection. Also, check the element to make sure that you do not have a calcium build up on the element. I would also recommend cleaning the steamer with vinegar and water after every few uses to keep the element free from calcium deposits. If you continue to have problems please contact us at 1-800-727-4023.
