Works as advertised
This product worked great once it heats up. The only thing is you have to wait 10-15 mins before it gets going. But once it's heated up works like a charm. Did a fully wallpapered room in a couple hours.

Worth More Than I Paid
This is an incredible product. I will never return to the time consuming and expensive method of scoring the paper and spraying on the gel to get the paper off the wall. The best removal method I found is first, if possible, peel off the outer layer of paper leaving the adhesive paper backing on the wall. Then, without scoring the paper, take the steamer and hold it in place for about 10 seconds at ceiling level, letting the steam penetrate the paper backing. Move the steamer below the first position and while waiting for that to "cook", simply peel back the paper from the first spot. Then, put the steamer below the second position. Start peeling back where the steamer was in the second position, Then move the steamer vertically down the wall and as you move it, just keep peeling the backing paper off the wall. Most of the time I never used a scraper. Worth every penny I paid for this.

Excellent product
i purchased this unit as a last ditch effort to try and remove stubborn wallpaper in my bathroom. Nothing else worked so i decided to give this a try. Well let me tell you, this little machine works GREAT!!! Just as advertised. With very little effort i was able to completely strip off all the old wallpaper with no damage to the drywall. This is a great product and I highly recommend it to anyone.

Very happy with the purchase.
We had previously used the spray removers and the tool to puncture holes into the paper. With the 705 we did not have to do either of those things. The vinyl came off very easy and the paper peeled off after holding the steamer in place for 3-4 minutes. Would highly recommend this product.

A GREAT TIME SAVER FOR WALLPAPER REMOVAL
The Wagner Steamer is a great product for removal of wallpaper perse, but not as good on wallpaper borders where a vinyl paste is used. It does not break down this paste and one has to scrape it off with a sharp blade. I found one does not need to score the paper and worked better when an area was steamed and wallpaper came off in sheets. If you could develop a suction type of apparatus to hold the steamer on the wall while scraping would be GREAT! The water container needs a definite visible mark for filling the water.

Wallpaper steamer
This steamer works great! I bought a model home that was full of wallpaper and have used this steamer to remove the wallpaper quickly and easily. I first tried using the chemical remover and it was awful! The fumes were terrible and it was so time consuming. When I use this steamer, I pull off the outside vinyl wallpaper, I fill this with water, wait for the water to heat up (to a boil) and lay it on my wall. You have to wait until the wallpaper gets wet then it will just pull off. No fumes or smell. Just be careful to keep the wallpaper steamer plate pointed away from your face because it does create very hot steam and set the hot water canister is a safe place where it will not tip over. The water is extremely hot and it will burn you. Be careful but Given the choice between hot water and steam or fumes from chemicals, I will take the steamer and it works great!

I was using it and it shut off when the water ran out. I let it sit for over a half hour and refilled. It will no longer heat up.

Answer:
There is not a replaceable fuse in the 705 steamer. If your unit no longer heats up, it may be because the heating element has mineral deposits built up on it from prior use. On occasion, pouring into the water reservoir 8 oz of water along with 8 oz of vinegar will break up those mineral deposits and allow the unit to heat up again.1 year, 1 month ago
